외국어로서의 한국어 교원 양성 교육과정 세부 과목 검토와 제안

국문 초록

목적: 본 연구는 2005년 국어기본법이 제시한 한국어 교원 양성과정의 지침에 따라 국내 양성기관에 개설되어 있는 다섯 영역의 세부 과목들이 실제 현장에서 활동 중인 한국어 교원들이 필요하다고 생각하는 세부 과목들과 차이점이 있는지 분석해 보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 방법: 현재 국립국어원이 제시한 국내 한국어 교원 양성 기관들 중 대학원에서 개설하고 있는 과목들을 모두 조사하여, 2017년 한국어 교원들과 2022년 한국어 교원들이 밝힌 과목별 필요도 설문 조사 결과를 비교하였다. 결과: 2017년 당시 한국어 교원들이 가장 필요하다고 응답했던 과목들이 현재 국내 양성기관에서 두 번째로 가장 개설 빈도가 높은 것으로 조사되었다. 하지만 현재 2022년 한국어 예비교원 및 현직 교원들은 절반 이상이 외국어로서의 한국어습득론 영역에서 발음 교육의 필요성에 대해 응답하였고, 해외 실습의 필요성이 있다고 응답하였다. 결론: 한국어 교육의 수요가 증가함에 따라 외국어로서 한국어를 가르치기를 희망하는 학생들과 한국어를 배우는 목적이 다양해지는 수요층의 요구를 반영하여, 현 교육과정의 지속적인 점검과 수정 및 개발이 필요하다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to review and investigate the current classes opened in domestic training organizations for Korean teacher as a foreign language, comparing the survey results on degree of necessity of subjects opened for students to be Korean language teachers, conducted in 2017 and in 2022. Methods: In order to accomplish this research purpose, the following research questions are constructed ~ Data sources were from current opened classes for Korean Language Teacher Training Programs in all domestic organizations provided by National Institute of Korean Language. Survey was conducted from current graduate students and Korean teachers to recognize if their opinions on necessary subjects related to their study purpose are to meet the current classes opened by domestic training organizations for Korean teacher. Results: The findings of data analysis showed that~1) the most necessary subjects responded by previous Korean language teachers and current graduate students are operated vividly in local Korean teaching program organization. 2) There are some discrepancies in numbers of current opened classes and desired classes. 3) Current graduate students give more priority to ‘Utterance Education’ which needs to be newly considered following the trend of increasing foreign students. Conclusion: Current classes opened for Korean language teachers as a foreign language should be observed, discussed and developed following the practical necessity requested by current Korean teachers and preliminary teachers with new trend in this area.
