국문 초록

다산 정약용은 1818년 8월에 해배된 이후부터 1836년 2월에 세상을 떠날 때까지 18년의 삶을 살았다. 본고에서는 이 기간의 후기에 속하는 1827년부터 1836년 사이에 다산이 교유한 39명의 지인들을 친구·선배·후배(제자)로 나누어 살펴보았다. 이 가운데 여동근은 속마음을 털어 놓을 수 있었던 친구였고, 高官을 지낸 여동식은 그리워했지만 만나기 어려운 친구였다. 이학규와는 우정을 넘어선 同志的 結束이 있었고, 김매순은 마음을 위로하고 정신을 고양해 준 고마운 친구였다. 김재곤과 박종유는 한겨울에 만두를 만들어 내놓았고, 정미원은 『周易』과 詩를 배우러 자주 찾아왔다. 곡산부사를 지낸 박시수는 다산의 원수가 철거한 다산의 시판을 곡산 관아 문지방에 걸어 놓았다. 이명오는 선배로서 다산에게 큰 힘이 되어 주었고, 홍현주와 이만용은 만년에 가장 좋아했던 인물들이다. 모처럼 찾아온 제자 의순에게는 가르침을 주었고, 홍길주와는 밤새 이야기를 나누며 서로의 소회를 밝혔다. 박종림과 박종유는 망년지우를 맺고 지낼 정도로 막역하였고, 박경유는 다산이 속마음까지 털어놓았던 후배였다. 오랜만에 찾아온 이강회에게는 그동안 하지 못했던 말을 시에 담아 보여주었고, 김시한과는 국화 꽃잎을 따서 술에 띄워 마시며 담소를 나누었다. 박대경이 고향에 돌아온 것을 기뻐하며 오이와 밀떡을 준비하여 술자리를 열었으며, 복령을 보내준 삼척도호부사 이광도에게는 시를 지어 고마운 마음을 전하였다.

영문 초록

Dasan Jeong Yak-yong lived 18 years from the time he was released from exile in August 1818 until his death in February 1836. Among them, Yeo Dong-geun(呂東根) was a friend to whom she could confide in her feelings, and Yeo Dong-sik(呂東植), who was in a high office, was a friend that she missed but difficult to meet. There was a comradely bond with Lee Hak-gyu(李學逵) that went beyond friendship, and Kim Mae-soon(金邁淳) was a grateful friend for comforting his heart and uplifting his spirit. Kim Jae-gon(金在崑) and Park Jong-yu(朴鍾儒) made dumplings in the middle of winter, and Jeong Mi-won often came to learn 『Zhou Yi(周易)』 and poetry. Park Si-su(朴蓍壽), a former governor of Goksan, hung a signboard with Dasan's poems that had been demolished by Dasan's enemies on the doorstep of the Goksan government office. Lee Myeong-oh(李明五) was a great strength to Dasan as a senior, and Hong Hyeon-joo(洪顯周) and Lee Man-yong(李晩用) were my favorite characters in their later years. He gave instruction to his disciple Ui-soon(意恂), who had come with great effort, and talked with Hong Gil-joo(洪吉周) all night to reveal each other's feelings. Park Jong-rim(朴鍾林) and Park Jong-yu(朴鍾儒) were so close to each other that they ended up living together. Park Kyung-yu(朴景儒) was a junior that Dasan had confided to her. To Lee Kang-hoe(李綱會), who had been visiting for a long time, he showed poems that he had not been able to say before, and Kim Si-han and Kim Si-han(金始漢) picked chrysanthemum petals, floated them in alcohol, and chatted. Happy that Park Dae-kyung(朴大卿) returned to his hometown, he prepared cucumbers and wheat rice cakes and held a drinking party. He wrote a poem to convey his gratitude to Lee Gwang-do(李廣度), a master of Samcheok Doho, who sent Bok-ryeong(茯苓).
