사회혁신을 촉진하는 디자인 워크숍의 도구 개발 및 활용

국문 초록

농촌과 소도시의 인구 감소 문제를 해결하기 위해 많은 도시에서 도시 재생이나 농촌 체험 등의 사업을 추진하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 문경 체험의 프로그램 일환으로 디자인 워크숍을 진행하였다. 이 연구의 목표는 촉진 도구가 참가자의 창의성을 지원하고 사고를 시각화하여 미래의 방향을 발견할 수 있는지, 디자인 워크숍이 사회문제 해결에어떤 역할을 하는지, 그리고 도구가 새로운 솔루션 생성에 도움이 될 수 있는가를 탐색하는 것이다. 디자인씽킹 프로세스를 기반으로 워크숍을 설계하고 프로세스의 각 단계 4가지 도구를 사용하였다. 도구는 '아이스 브레이킹', '나를 발견하기', '해바라기 아이디에이션', '나와 도시'이다. 그 결과 첫째, 참가자들은 촉진 도구를 통해 창의적 사고를시각화하고 미래의 방향을 발견할 수 있었다. 둘째, 참가자들은 사고의 전환, 다양한 배경을 가진 사람들과의 공감형성, 그리고 다양한 사람들의 다각적 관점의 경험을 통해 기존 사회문제 해결을 위한 새로운 가능성을 볼 수 있었다. 셋째, 도구는 참가자의 자기 성찰을 촉진하고 정서적 발달에 영향을 미쳤다. 디자인 워크숍에서 참가자들은 디자인 방식에 대한 접근에 초기 어려움이 있었지만, 촉진자의 도움을 받아 해결되었다. 디자인 방법에 쉽게 접근할 수있도록 하기 위해서는 디자인 워크숍과 촉진 도구 사용에 대한 더 많은 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구는 사회혁신 워크숍 추진에 필요한 도구를 이해하고 개선하며, 새로운 도구의 개발 방향을 제시하는데 가치가 있다.

영문 초록

Many cities are implementing projects such as urban regeneration or rural experience to address the problem of population decline in rural areas and small cities. In this study, a design workshop was held as part of the rural experience program in Mungyeong. The goal of this study was to investigate how facilitation tools can support participants' creativity, what role design workshops play in solving social problems, and whether facilitation tools can aid in the creation of new solutions. We held a workshop based on the design thinking process and used four different tools for each step of the process. The tools are called 'Ice Breaking', 'Myself Discovery', 'Sunflower Ideation', and 'Me and the City'. As a result, the tools enabled the participants to visualize and discover future directions for solving existing social problems. Secondly, the participants were able to open up and see new possibilities through a change of thinking, the formation of empathy with people from various backgrounds, and through the experience of multilateral perspectives from various people. Thirdly, the tools promote the self-reflection of the participants and affect their emotional development. In the design workshop, participants had initial difficulties approaching the design method but resolved it with the help of facilitators. In order to make design methods easily accessible, more research on design workshops and the use of facilitation tools is needed. This research is useful for understanding and improving the tools required to promote social innovation workshops, as well as for suggesting development directions for new tools.
