국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 중국에서 IB DP 학교가 급증하는 상황 속에, 중국 학생들의 학습경험을 바탕으로 IB DP 교육이 현장에서 드러내는 특징과 문제를 파악하고, 개선점을 밝히고자 한다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해, 중국 베이징, 상하이, 광둥성과 장쑤성 등 지역에서 IB DP 교육에 참여한 학생을 연구대상으로 설문조사를 진행하였다. 최종적으로 총 157부 유효 응답 설문지를 통해 도출한 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, IB 교육의 학생상에 대해 학생들은 상당히 긍정적으로 평가하였고, 그 특성을 성취함에 있어 전반적으로 향상되었다고 인식하였다. 둘째, IB DP 교육에 대한 학생들의 반응은 상당히 만족하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, IB DP 이수 과정에서 느끼는 문제점에 대해, 학생들은 IB DP 학업 수행에서 정직성을 엄격하게 요구하는 것을 가장 어렵게 인식하였다. 특히 자신의 생각도 필자와 같은데 이를 일일이 인용하는 것을 어렵게 느끼고 있었다. 넷째, IB DP 교육과정의 이수에 있어서 개선점에 대해, 학생들은 자격과 능력을 갖춘 우수 교사를 확보하는 것을 가장 시급하게 개선해야 할 문제로 지적하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics and problems of IB DP education in the field based on the learning experiences of Chinese students in a situation where the number of IB DP schools in China is rapidly increasing, and to reveal the problems that need to be improved. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, a research study was conducted on students who participated in IB DP education in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong and Jiangsu provinces in China. Finally, the results of the study drawn through a total of 157 valid response questionnaires are as follows. First, regarding IB Learner Profile, it was recognized that the students improved with an overall positive evaluation. Second, it was found that the students' responses to the IB DP education were satisfactory. Third, regarding the problems felt during the IB DP completion process, strictly demanding honesty in the IB DP study was recognized as the biggest difficulty. Fourth, regarding the problems that need to be improved in completing the IB DP curriculum, it was pointed out that securing excellent teachers with qualifications and abilities for students is the most urgent problem to be improved.
