국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 빅데이터, 인공지능, 사물인터넷, 5G 등 디지털 신기술이노동과정에 도입되면서 발생할 수 있는 새로운 위험성에 대해 분석하고 기술의 자본주의적 사용이 야기하는 위험들에 대한 대안으로 기술의 공공적 사용을 제시한다. 분석 결과는 첫째, AI 면접 사례에서 보듯이 알고리즘의 자동화된 의사결정은 객관성, 공정성, 투명성을 앞세우지만, 인종, 젠더, 학력 등의사회적 차별을 심화하고 확증편향을 강화한다는 비판으로부터 자유로울 수없다. 둘째, 업무 편의성을 제고하는 신기술 장치로 업무용 앱이 노동과정에빠르게 도입되고 있지만, 노동자의 품행 하나하나를 데이터로 가시화할 수있는 새로운 형식의 데이터감시로 활용되기도 한다. 셋째, 빅데이터 알고리즘을 활용한 새로운 스케쥴링 프로그램은 노동자의 시간권리를 파편화하고, 알고리즘에 예속된 상태로 부품화하는 경향을 발견할 수 있다. 마지막으로, 자본주의적으로 사용되는 디지털 신기술은 노동을 극도로 유연화하고 있는데, 이를 넘어서기 위한 대안으로 기술 설계에의 민주적 개입을 강조한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze about new risks that new digital technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things can happen with the introduction of the labor process. Furthermore, this study suggests the public use of technology as an alternative to the new risks posed by capitalist use of technologies. The results of the analysis are as follows: First, as shown in the AI interview case, the automated decision making of the algorithm prioritizes objectivity, fairness, and transparency, but cannot be freed from criticisms that deepen social discrimination such as race, gender, and education, and strengthen confirmatory bias. Second, as a new technology device that improves work convenience, mobile devices are rapidly being introduced into the labor process, but they are also used as a new type of data monitoring that can visualize each worker’s behavior as data. Third, the new scheduling program using the big data algorithm can discover the tendency to fragment workers’ rest and part into the state bound by the algorithm. Lastly, new digital technologies used in capitalism are making the work extremely flexible, emphasizing democratic intervention in technology design as an alternative.
