국문 초록

본 연구에서는 AIC, BIC, Mallow's Cp 등 다중 기준 함수를 이용한 최적 모델 선택과정과 공간회귀모델 분석과정을 고찰하였으며 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 모델 선택 시 사용되는 정보기준(AIC, BIC, Mallow's Cp)에 따라서 선택되는 변수도 달라졌다. 이러한 결과는 선택된 변수에 따라서 최적 모델도 달라질 수 있기 때문에 모델을 선택할 때는 한 두 개의 변수선택 기준보다는 다양한 기준과 방법으로 신중하게 접근하여야 함을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 다중 공선성이 존재하지 않거나 상대적으로 낮을 때 단계적 회귀 분석(Stepwise Regression Analysis) 방법에 의한 순차적 변수 선정 결과와 다중 기준 함수를 이용한 모든 조합가능한 회귀분석(All Possible Regression Methods) 방법에 의한 변수 선정 결과는 다르지 않았다. 셋째, 단계적 회귀 분석(Stepwise Regression Analysis) 방법과 모든 조합가능한 회귀분석(All Possible Regression Methods) 방법에 의한 변수 선정 등 자동변수 선택 방법에 의존하기 보다는 연구자의 전문성과 이론, 선행연구 결과 등을 활용한 판단이 필요하다. 넷째, 다양한 분야의 노동력을 필요로 하는 제조업이 고용기회를 창출하고, 신규주택 비율 등 쾌적한 도시 환경이 갖춰지며, 기존 도시의 인구규모가 클수록 지방권 중소규모 도시의 인구성장에 유리하다. 따라서 정부나 지방자치단체에서는 지방 도시의 인구 유출을 차단하고 지역경제발전과 인구성장을 도모하기 위해서는 양질의 일자리 창출과 물리적 도시환경 개선을 위한 지속적인 노력이 필요하다.

Variables selected according to the information criteria (AIC, BIC, Mallow's Cp) used for model selection were also different. These results show that a concise and explainable model can be different depending on the selected variables, so it is necessary to approach carefully with various criteria and methods rather than one or two variable selection criteria when selecting a model. When multi-collinearity does not exist or is relatively low, the result of sequential variable selection by the Stepwise Regression Analysis Methods and by the All Possible Regression Methods using multiple criterion functions was not different. It is necessary to make a judgment based on the researcher’s expertise, theory, and previous research results rather than relying on an automatic variable selection method. The manufacturing industry, which requires labor in various fields, creates employment opportunities and provides a pleasant urban environment, such as the ratio of new housing. Therefore, local governments need continuous efforts to create quality jobs and improve the urban environment in order to block the outflow of population from local cities and promote regional economic development and population growth.
