분노 정서에 대한 통합적 이해와 교회 공동체 역할에 대한 연구

국문 초록

타인에 대한 적대적 폭력 사태는 단순히 넘어갈 수 없는 심각한 일이다. 그런 일들은 구성원 간의 갈등을 조장하고 결국 사회 분열의 실마리가 될 수 있기 때문이다. 불행하게도 이런 폭력적 행위들이 사회 전반에 걸쳐서 실제로 발생하고 있다. 심지어 사회 교육의 최전선을 담당하고 있는 학교도 예외는 아니다. 이 같은 폭력적이고 적대적 행위의 원인이 사실 해결되지 못한 분노일 수 있다는 점에 주목해야 한다. 해결되지 못한 억압된 분노가 관련이 없는 타인 또는 외부 대상을 향해 무차별적으로 표현되는 현상일 수 있기 때문이다. 문제는 분노라는 정서를 부정적으로 보고 억압할 때이다. 분노에 대한 이런 대응이 결국 다른 문제들의 원인이 되기 때문이다. 화가 났지만, 그 사실을 인정할 수도 없고 다루는 방법에 대해서도 알지 못하기 때문에 쉽게 부정하거나 억압하고 만다. 이런 대응 방법은 더 심각한 결과를 초래할 수 있으므로 위험하다. 한국 사회에 문제가 되는 적대적 행위의 치료적 모델 개발을 위해 분노에 관한 통합적 연구와 교회 공동체의 역할에 관한 연구가 목회상담학적 시각에서 필요하다고 본다. 분노에 대한 통합적 연구라는 용어 사용은 적대적 감정의 주된 원인을 분노로 보고 그 원인을 다양한 시각에서 이해할 필요가 있다고 보았기 때문이다. 그런 점에서 분노의 원인을 사회, 심리, 신학의 관점에서 이해하고자 했다. 분노의 문화, 사회적 면은 한국 사회가 직면하고 있는 어떤 문제들이 분노에 원인이 될 수 있는지를 알아보려는 작업이다. 신학과 심리학적 분노에 대한 이해와 함께 이런 문화적 접근은 그것에 대한 치료적 접근을 위한 보다 정밀한 진단을 위한 과정으로 여겨진다. 마지막으로 이 연구에서 말하는 교회적 대응 모델로서 제안되는 사례는 목회상담학적 시각에서 분노에 대한 접근을 어떻게 가질 것인가에 대한 시각을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 본다. 이 과정들을 통해 분노를 위한 교회의 역할을 생각해 보는 것은 성숙한 한국 사회의 미래 모형을 위해 개인적 영역뿐 아니라 공적 영역에 대한 목회상담학의 역할을 생각해 볼 때 의미하는 바가 크다고 본다.

영문 초록

In Korean society, indiscriminate violence against others and even brutal murder are occurring. Recently, the simultaneous murders in the same neighbourhood, one in a PC room and another in a fight between couples, attracted public interest. Violence against others is a serious matter that cannot be ignored. Such things can foster conflict among members and eventually lead to social division. Unfortunately, these acts of violence are actually happening across society. Even schools on the front line of social education are no exception. It should be noted that the cause of such violent and hostile acts may actually be unresolved anger. This is because unresolved and suppressed anger can be expressed indiscriminately toward unrelated people or external objects. The problem arises when anger is improperly suppressed. A negative response to anger eventually causes other problems. Someone may easily deny or suppress the fact that they are angry, being unable to admit it and unable to find an appropriate way to deal with it. These situations are dangerous because they can have more serious consequences. This study seeks to address the integrated study of anger and the role of the church community as a prior work to develop a therapeutic model to deal with hostile acts that are problematic in Korean society. This integrated study will seek the main cause of hostile feelings and try to understand the cause from the perspective of society, psychology and theology. First, we look at prior domestic and foreign studies on anger, and then deal with the social realm associated with that sentiment. This refers to a social and cultural approach to what are the unique problems facing Korean society. This cultural approach, along with an understanding of theology and psychological anger, is considered a process for more precise diagnosis for a therapeutic approach. Finally, the case proposed as a church response model in this study can suggest a perspective on how to have access to anger from a biblical perspective. Thinking about the role of the church in dealing with anger through these processes means a lot when considering the role of pastoral counseling in the public domain as well as the personal domain for the future model of a mature Korean society.
