안중근의 동양평화사상과 남북통일

국문 초록

우리의 진정한 민족영웅 안중근은 제국주의적 침략주의에 온몸으로맞선 평화의 화신이었다. 그의 동양평화론은 단순한 수사만의 나열이아닌, 구체적 방도를 가진 것이었다. 그것은 적어도 당대에는 감히 누구도 생각지 못했던 평화관이었다. 당시 일제는 ‘아시아 연대주의론’이라는 기만에 찬 ‘동양평화론’을 주창하고 있었다. 사실 그것은 제국주의적 침략주의를 포장하는 기만술책에 불과한 것이었다. 그런데 안중근의동양평화사상은 한․중․일 3국의 협력을 전제로 하는 평화론으로서서구 제국주의의 침략을 원천적으로 봉쇄할 수 있는 제안이었으며, 오늘날 지역 평화체제 구축과 밀접한 지역공동체 건설을 위한 획기적인방안이기도 했다. 안중근은 동양평화를 말하면서, 한반도가 지정학적으로 제국주의의 제물이 될 수밖에 없는 상황에서, 늘 한국독립을 염두에두었음은 두말할 필요가 없다. 안중근이 살아 있어 동양평화를 주장한다면, 한반도가 처한 현 상황을 고려하여 그가 추구한 ‘한국독립’은 ‘남북통일’로, ‘동양평화’는 ‘동북아 공동체’로 용어를 바꾸어 사용할 것으로판단된다. 본 논문에서는 안중근의 동양평화사상의 내용을 검토한 후오늘의 시점에서 남북통일을 염두에 두고 우리에게 어떤 시사점을 제공하고 있는지를 살펴볼 것이다. 한반도를 둘러싸고 미․일․중․러 4대강국의 이해관계가 대립하고 있는 안보 상황에서 한반도의 상시적인 안정을 도모하고 나아가 통일한국을 이루기 위해서는 역내 다자안보체제를 구축한다든지, 동북아공동체를 건설하는 일이 필요함은 두말할 필요가 없다.

영문 초록

Our true national hero, Ahn Choong-gun was the incarnation of peace, fighting against imperialistic aggression with allone's soul and might. Ahn's thought of oriental peace had a concrete strategy for it's realization. Needless to say, it was an excellent idea of peace that, at that time, anyone did not dare to think. In those days, japanese imperialism was claiming an 'asian solidarism', false idea of oriental peace. In fact, it was just mere propaganda paving the imperialist aggression. But Ahn's thought of oriental peace was proposal that is able to stop the invasion of western imperialismin, as an idea of peace that assumes cooperation of three countries, Korea, China and Japan. And it was also an epoch-making plan for construction of local community closely related to build a local peace regime of Northeast Asia. With an emphasis on oriental peace, Ahn had in mind, night and day, the independence of Korea, which was bound to be a sacrifice of imperialism geopolitically. If he, comes back alive, claims again the oriental peace, he will replace 'Independence of Korea' with 'unification of North and South Korea', 'oriental peace' with 'Northeast Asian Community', considering the current situation surrounding the Korean Peninsula. In this paper, after reviewing, first of all, the contents of Ahn's thought of oriental peace, we will, as of today, look at their implications with respect to unification of North and South Korea. In the security situation that interests of U.S., China, Russia and Japan, four Powers, are opposed, there is a need to build a multilateral security regime or Northeast Asian Community for Northeast Asia, in order to promote permanent stability of Koran Peninsula and, furthermore, to achieve a unified Korea.
