진시황(秦始皇) 병마용(兵馬俑) 인물의 조형성 고찰 연구

국문 초록

‘세계 8대 불가사의’로 알려진 진시황 병마용은 고대 중국 문화의 귀중한 보물이다. 이들은 진나라의 강력한 경제적, 문화적 발전을 반영할 뿐만 아니라 조형예술의 높은 성과도 반영하고 있다. 그 중에서 도 가장 큰 특징은 인물의 조형성이다. 본 연구에서는 인물의 조형성을 연구하기 위해 인물의 유형과 두상의 얼굴 모양, 상투, 수염 등 얼굴의 세부사항을 살펴보았다. 이를 토대로 병마용의 조형이 사실주 의의 특징을 가지고 있다고 서술하였다. 병마용은 조형적으로 인물과 말, 마차 등을 매우 생생하게 재 현해내었고, 세세하게 묘사하였다. 또한 병마용의 수량과 종류도 다양하며, 제작공정의 규모가 크고 건 축규모도 웅장하다. 이는 ‘천인천면(千人千面)’의 광경을 형성하여 중국 고대 최대의 군사 및 예술 박물 관이라고 할 수 있다. 공예 면에서는 병마용의 제작과정은 케스팅(casting)과 조각의 조합이다. 민간의 전통적인 조각, 조소, 빚기, 붙임, 그림, 새기는 등의 기법을 활용하였고, 무게중심과 회화 색채의 활용 도 중요한 점이다. 연구 결과 중국 진시황 병마용 인물의 조형성을 바탕으로 병마용의 유형을 분하였 다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 사실주의에 기초한 병마용 인물의 조형성과 정교한 제작 방법에 대한 연구가 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

Known as the ‘8 Wonders of the World’the Terracotta Army is a valuable treasure of ancient Chinese culture. They not only reflect the strong economic and cultural development of the Qin Dynasty, but also reflect the high achievements of the formative arts. Among them, the biggest feature is the formativeness of the character. In this study, in order to study the formativeness of a person, the details of the face such as the type of the person, the shape of the face of the head, the top coat, and the beard were examined. Based on this, it was described that the Terracotta Army s format had the characteristics of realism. The Terracotta Army are formatively recreating people and horse carriages very vividly, and they are described in detail. In addition, the number and types of the Terracotta Army are diverse, and the scale of the manufacturing process is large and the scale of construction is grand. This can be said to be the largest military and art museum in ancient China, forming a scene of ‘Thousand people, thousand faces(千人千面) . In terms of craftsmanship, the process of making the Terracotta Army is a combination of casting and sculpture. In addition, traditional techniques such as sculpting, sculpting, making, attaching, painting, and carving were used, and the center of gravity and the use of painting colors are also important. As a result of this study, the types of the Terracotta Army were classified based on the formativeness of the characters of Qin Shi Huang, China. Based on this study, it is considered that research on the formativeness and elaborate production method of the Terracotta Army figures based on realism should be conducted continuously. 秦始皇兵马俑被称为“世界第八大奇迹”，是中国古代文化的无价之宝，不仅反映了秦代超强的经济和文化 发展，同时也体现了秦代造型艺术的极高成就，其中最大特点就是它的人物造型。本文从人物的类型和头像 的脸型、发髻、胡须等面部细节研究人物的造型性，总结出具有写实主义特点的兵马俑人物。在造型上将现 实中的人、车马作为原型还原，神态逼真，细节刻画更是达到传神的效果，并且兵马俑的数量和种类繁多， 制作工程量巨大，建筑构造规模宏大，形成了‘千人千面’的景象，堪称中国古代最大的军事和艺术的博物 馆;在工艺上，兵马俑的制作过程是模具和雕塑并用，同时，还运用民间传统的塑、雕、堆、捏、贴、画、 刻等手法。重心和绘画色彩的运用也十分讲究，更加真实又生动的塑造了人物形象。本文以兵马俑人物的造 型性出发，从宏观上归类兵马俑的人物类型，从造型细节上分析兵马俑人物造型的写实主义和精良的制作工艺。
