국문 초록

왜왕권의 백제유민에 대한 관리와 등용은 일본고대의 신국가의 건설의 중요한 기반이 되었다. 이들이 보유한 신지식, 신기술은 그대로 왜왕권의 국가운용에 이입되었고, 그 저변으로 확산되어 갔다. 수천명에 달하는 백제의 망명자 속에는 중앙과 지방에서 상층부를 구성하는 귀족과 호족층이 다수를 차지했으며 군사, 학문, 의술 등 각 분야의 전문가들이 적지 않았다. 왜왕권은 백제부흥을 위해 수군단을 구성하고 막대한 군수물자를 투입하는 등 국가적 재정을 소모했지만, 결과적으로 백제의 수많은 인재들을 받아들이는데 성공하였다. 백제 유민들은 왜왕권의 신국가정책 속에서 재능과 신분에 따라 관인으로 발탁, 등용되어 각 분야에서 능력을 발휘해 나갔다. 그들 중에는 학문과, 의술, 문예 등의 제방면 에서 세습적 지위를 통해 가문의 번영을 이룬 씨족도 적지 않았다.

영문 초록

The management and appointment of Baekje migrants by the Japanese royal authority became an important basis in the construction of a new state in ancient Japan. The new knowledge and technologies of the Baekje migrants were introduced into the state management of the Japanese royal authority as they were and spread into its base. There were thousands of refugees from Baekje, and many of them became part of the nobility and powerful clans that formed the upper class in the central and local regions. There were also many Baekje refugees that worked as professionals in the fields of military, academics, and medicine. The Japanese royal authority organized the naval forces and invested the national finance into it including the massive war supplies for the revival of Baekje. In the end, they succeeded in accepting a huge number of talents from Baekje. The migrants of Baekje were selected and appointed as government officials according to their respective talents and social positions under the new state policy of the Japanese royal authority, exerting their abilities in their respective fields. Of them, many established their own families that prospered through the patrimonial status across the fields including academics, medicine, and literature.
