국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 통합생태학적 관점을 바탕으로 노벨 엔지니어링 수업 모형을 활용하여 초등학교 생태교육 프로그램을 설계하는 것이다. 이 목적을 위해, 우선 선행연구 고찰을 통해 통합생태교육의 개념을 분석하고, 노벨 엔지니어링 모형에 대한 이론적 고찰을 통해 통합생태교육 방법으로 노벨 엔지니어링 교수학습 방법의 적용 가능성을 살펴본 다음, 노벨 엔지니어링 교육 방법을 활용한 초등학교용 통합생태교육 프로그램을 제안하였다. 이 프로그램의 특징을 세 가지로 요약하자면, 첫째 생태 문제의 원인 분석과 해결 방안을 도출할 때 언제나 인간 인격의 독자성과 주변 환경과 맺는 관계성에 초점을 맞추며, 둘째, 노벨 엔지니어링 수업 방법을 통합생태교육에 적극적으로 활용하여 독서를 통해 생태학적 문제 상황을 통합적으로 인식하고, 구체적인 생태 문제 상황을 선정하고, 그 해결 방법을 디자인하여 창작물을 제작하고 공유한 뒤, 생활 속에서 실천하도록 설계하였다. 셋째, 프로그램의 타당성과 신뢰성을 확보하고자 교육부의 2015개정 교육과정의 성취기준에 따라 독서를 통한 생태 문제 인식, 생태 문제 정의 및 해결책 디자인, 해결책 디자인 공유 및 피드백, 해결책 개선 및 창작물 제작, 창작물 공유 및 실천 등 다섯 단계를 도출하였고, 프로그램 단계별 세부 운영 계획, 도서 선정 기준, 평가방안을 제시하였다. 통합생태교육의 교육목표, 교육내용, 교육방법의 기본 가치와 비전은 홀리스틱교육에서 강조하는 인간과 세계 간의 관계성, 경험성, 공생, 생명권, 생태학적 소양, 영성 등과 이론적으로 그리고 실천적으로 일맥상통한다는 점을 조명하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to design an ecological education program for elementary schools, based on the Novel Engineering on the integrated ecological perspective. For its purpose, this study analyzed various terms regarding to integrated ecology and ecological education, then figured out the possible adoptability of Novel Engineering method to previous ecological educations, and finally, proposed more effective programs for elementary school ecological educations. Three distinctive features of the integrated ecological education are following: First, it “always emphases” human “personas” and relatedness with their surrounding environments when analyze ecological problems and propose the best solutions to them. Second, this program actively apply to the Novel Engineering methodology to help students of recognizing concrete ecological situations found in the pre-selected reading materials or story books, of pointing specific ecological problems facing the main characters or persons in the reading materials. of deciding and sharing the problem-solutions to others, and finally of practicing them in their daily lives. Third, for proving its validity and reliability, it applied the Achievement Standards of the 2015 Revised Curriculum to select the five curricular procedures mentioned above, to make its operational plan, to decide criteria for selecting reading materials, and to evaluate its design and effectiveness. The educational goals, contents, and methods of the integrated ecological education are conceptually and practically consistent with the relationship between humans and the world, experience, symbiosis, the right to life, ecological literacy, and spirituality, which are emphasized in holistic education.
