국문 초록

최근 다양한 연구에서 학습참여를 교육 성과 결정의 중요한 지표로 제시하며, 개인의 학습참여와 이에 영향을 미치는 변인을 조사하고 있다. 본 연구는 선행연구를 바탕으로 대학생의 성장 마인드셋과 미래지향시간관이 그릿을 매개하여 학습참여에 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해, A 광역시 소재 대학의 재학생 509명이 온라인 설문조사에 참여하였으며, 이 중 495명의 자료를 최종 분석에 사용하였다. SPSS 25를 사용하여 Pearson 상관분석을 포함한 사전 기초분석을 시행하였으며, Mplus 8.2를 이용한 구조방정식 모형 방법을 통하여 수집된 자료의 측정모형과 가설모형의 적합도를 확인하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저 대학생의 학습참여는 성장 마인드셋, 미래지향시간관, 그릿과 유의한 정적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 대학생의 미래지향시간관과 그릿은 학습참여에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤지만, 성장 마인드셋은 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 셋째, 연구 참가자의 그릿은 성장 마인드셋과 미래지향시간관을 성공적으로 매개하여 학습참여에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 학습참여를 높일 수 있는 중재 프로그램 개발 및 교육 환경 조성 등의 교육적 시사점이 제시되었으며, 제한점과 후속연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Academic engagement has been considered as one of the most important indexes to represent educational outcomes, diverse research has been working on academic engagement and association with different variables. Based on previous research, the purpose of this study was to explore structural relationships among growth mindset, future time perspective, grit, and academic engagement of University students. To do that, 509 students in A city were participated and among them, 495 students data was used for final analyses. SPSS 25 was used to do preliminary analyses including Pearson correlation and then, a series of structural equation modeling with Mplus 8.2 was conducted to test fits for both measurement and hypothesized models. As result, there were all significant positive correlations among growth mindset, future time perspective, grit and academic engagement. Second, university students’ future time perspective and grit directly impact on academic engagement, but academic mindset didn’t. Thrid, grit could mediate relationships both academic mindset and future time perspective with academic engagement. Based on the findings, practical implications and suggestions for future research were discussed.
