중학생 자해행동의 보호 요인과 위험 요인

국문 초록

본 연구는 청소년의 자해행동을 이해하기 위하여 자해행동검사, 일상적 스트레스 척도, 자기통제 척도, 사회적지지 척도를 통해 수집된 중학생 623명의 자료를 SPSS 24.0 프로그램을 사용하여 기술통계, 다중응답분석, 상관분석, 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 43% 중학생이 일상적이고 사소한 유형의 자해행동을 경험하고 있으며, 그들 중 14%가 자살시도를 해본 경험이 있다고 하였다. 둘째, 자해행동 유경험 집단에서 일상적 스트레스는 자해행동과 정적상관을 보인 반면, 자기통제와 사회적 지지와는 부적상관을 나타냈다. 자해행동 무경험 집단에서 일상적 스트레스는 자기통제, 사회적 지지와 부적상관을 나타냈다. 셋째, 일상적 스트레스와 사회적 지지는 자해행동을 통계적으로 유의하게 예측한 반면, 자기통제는 예측하지 못했다. 특히 일상적 스트레스의 하위요인인 친구와 외모 스트레스는 자해행동을 정적으로 예측한 반면, 사회적 지지의 하위요인인 친구 지지는 자해행동을 부적으로 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 바탕으로 자해행동 관련 보호 요인과 위험 요인에 대한 정보를 제공하고 중학생의 자해행동 개입 방안에 대해 학교상담 관점에서 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed data from 623 middle school students collected through SHI, the Daily Stress Scale, Self-control Scale, and Social Support Scale to understand their self-harm behaviors by descriptive statistics, multiple response analysis, bivariate correlation, and logistic regression analysis using SPSS 23.0. As a result, first, 43% of middle school student respondents were experiencing the usual and minor types of self-harm behavior, and 14% of the respondents reported suicidal attempts. Second, daily stress showed a positive correlation with self-harm behavior, but negative correlation with social support and self-control in the group with self-harm behavior. Third, daily stress and social support significantly predicted self-harm behavior group statistically, whereas self-control did not. Specifically, stresses of friend and appearance, sub-factors of daily stress, positively predicted self-harm behavior, whereas friend support, a sub-factor of social support, negatively predicted self-harm behavior. Based on the results, we provided information related to protection and risk factors for self-harm, and discussed how to intervene and disrupt self-harm behaviors in terms of school counseling.
