중소기업의 ERP 도입 필요성에 대한 인식

국문 초록

중소기업이 합리적인 의사결정을 내리고 효율적인 경영을 함과 동시에 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해서는 ERP 시스템을 구축하여 통합된 정보를 활용하는 것이 필수적이다. 본 연구는 이러한 전제하에 우리나라 중소기업들의 ERP 시스템 도입에 대한 인식을 조사하였다. 각 기업의 조직규모, 회계정보시스템의 사용기간, 회계정보시스템의 이용도, 회계정보시스템이 제공하는 정보의 질 등을 독립변수로 하고, ERP 시스템에 대한 교육과 도입의 필요성에 대한 인식을 종속변수로 하는 연구모형을 이용하여 가설을 검증하였다. 수집된 자료를 이용하여 가설을 검증한 결과, 회계정보시스템의 사용기간, 회계정보시스템의 이용도, 회계정보시스템의 정보의 질은 ERP 시스템에 대한 인식에 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 예상과는 달리 조직의 규모은 ERP 시스템에 대한 인식에 대하여 제한적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 대부분의 중소기업들은 ERP 환경에 대한 필요성을 인식하고 있었으며 ERP 시스템 도입에 대해 긍정적인 태도를 보였다. 이러한 결과는 ERP 시스템이 업무 프로세스의 표준화를 바탕으로 전사적 관점에서 비즈니스의 모든 영역을 최적화할 수 있는 효율적인 해결 수단이 될 수 있음을 인식하고 있기 때문이다.

영문 초록

Companies under today s complex and turbulent environment strive for competitiveness through the efficient management and rational decision makings. An ERP syytem, taking advantage of advanced information technology, is an important tool for supporting innovative management. It helps companies utilize their core competence, streamline business activities, and restructure organizations. The goal of thies thesis is to examine if the managers perceptions about the transition toward the ERP environment are affected by such variables as the corporate size, the service life of the accounting information systems, the systems usage, and the quality of information provided by the current information systems. To accomplish the goal stated above, data were collected by a questionnaire sent to accountants working for small and medium-sized manufacturing firms in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-Do area. Sample firms were selected from those currently implementing plain accounting information systems rather than comprehensive ERP systems capable of integrating information withen and across departments. Data analyses revealed that all the variables of interest had statistically significant effects on positive perceptions about the transition toward the ERP environment but the corporate size which showed limited effects. Additional analysis showed that the majority of respondents admitted the necissity for ERP environment, probably because the ERP systems are efficient and effective in optimizing business processes. Future studies in this area should overcome certain limitations this thesis has. First, future studies should horizontally expand the spectrum of respondents in order to examine viewpoints of various departments other than accounting. The spectrum could be vertically expanded in order to include higher-level managers such as CEOs. Second, future studies should collect data from other than manufacturing firms.
