의미연결망 분석을 통한 국내 시각문화교육 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

최근 시각문화 콘텐츠에 대한 관심이 높아지는 가운데, 시각문화교육에 대한 중요성이 주목받고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 지난 20년간의 미술교육 맥락에서의 시각문화교육연구 논문을 텍스트마이닝하여 분석하였다. TF-IDF를 중심으로 의미연결망을 구성하여 CONCOR 분석한 결과, 제1시기 시각문화교육의 필요성 대두, 제2시기 시각문해력 강조, 제3시기 디지털 시각문화 등장, 제4시기 학습자의 삶과 문화에 대해 논의하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이에 따른 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시각문화교육 연구 내용은 국가 수준의 미술과 교육과정과 병행하므로 2022 개정 교육과정의 기조가 향후 연구 흐름에 영향을 줄 것이다. 둘째, 시대의 흐름과 상황을 분석하고 적극적으로 대응하는 사회적 실천을 반영하여야 한다. 셋째, 디지털 시대로의 전환에 따라, 새로운 테크놀로지의 역할과 가능성에 대해 선도적으로 규명하여야 한다. 이러한 논의는 지난 20년간의 시각문화교육 연구 흐름을 파악하고, 향후 수행될 연구의 방향성을 제시하는 데 기초 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Over the last two decades of 21st, as research in visual culture is increasing, the importance of visual culture education is drawing attention. Therefore, this study examined how research on visual culture education in Korea has been conducted in the context of art education using text mining. As a result of CONCOR analysis by constructing a semantic network focused on TF-IDF, the necessity of visual culture education emerged in the first period, visual literacy was emphasized in the second period, digital visual culture appeared in the third period, and the students life and culture were discussed in the fourth period. The implications of this are first, since the research content of visual culture education exhibits theoretically and in practice based on the national art curriculum, the 2022 revised curriculum will affect the future research trends. Second, it should reflect the social practice of the current society locally and globally responding to the rapid changes of the times. Third, in accordance with the transition to the digital age, art educators delve deeper into how the new technologies can be conceptualized and enacted in art education practice. These discussions can provide significant understanding the research flow of visual culture education over the past 20 years and suggesting the direction of future research.
