『여헌선생급문제자록(旅軒先生及門諸子錄)』을 통해 본 학문 정체성의 계승 양상과 특징

국문 초록

본 연구는 『여헌선생급문제자록(旅軒先生及門諸子錄)』에 수록된 문인들을 검토하고, 그들이 공유하였던 학문적 관심과 그것의 계승 양상을 확인하였다. 제자록은 두 가지 형태로 남아있다. 하나는 1916년에 간행된 목활자본이고, 다른 하나는 『旅軒先生全書』에 수록된 판본이다. 본고는 1916년에 간행된 목활자본을 대상으로 하였다. 해당 판본의 표제는 『旅軒先生及門諸子錄』이고 경북대학교 중앙도서관에 소장되어 있다. 본고는 우선 제자록의 편찬 과정과 체제를 정리하고, 다음으로 문인의 특징을 검토하였다. 제자록에 등재된 170명의 나이, 거주지역, 혈연관계, 과거와 관직을 확인하고 마지막으로 저술활동에서 여헌문인의 학문적 관심과 계승 양상을 검토하였다. 여헌제자록에서 보이는 문인들의 특징을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직접 수학한 경우가 많다. 문인록에 근거하면, 문인의 75%는 직접 수학한 경우이다. 둘째, 주요 강학처를 중심으로 문인들이 결속하였다. 즉, 선산과 인동 그리고 입암의 강학처를 중심으로 문인들 사이에 일정한 영역이 나누어져 있다. 그러나 문인의 학문 성향은 지역의 구분이 없었다. 선산과 인동, 입암에서 활동하였던 문인들의 저술과 학문 성향은 공통된 경향을 보였다. 셋째, 실용적인 학문이 주류를 이루었다. 여헌문인들은 지리지와 목록류 저서, 의례서와 각종 동약과 향약, 족중입약 등의 규약류를 남긴 것을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

This study reviews literary figures recorded in 『Yeoheonseonsaenggeupmunjejarok(旅軒先生及門諸子錄)』 to examine the academic interest they shared and its succession patterns. The book is left in two forms: one is a wooden type version published in 1916, and the other is a woodblock-printed version in Yeoheonseonsaengjeonseo. This study focuses on the former, which was published in 1916. The title is 『Yeoheonseonsaenggeupmunjejarok(旅軒先生及門諸子錄)』, and the researcher reviewed the wooden type version housed in the central library of Kyungpook National University. The book’s publication process and system were arranged before the characteristics of the literary figures were reviewed. After examining 170 literary figures in the book in terms of age, place of residence, blood relation, state exam, and government post, the study reviewed academic interest found in their writing activities and its succession patterns. The characteristics of literary figures in the book are summarized as follows: first, many of them studied for themselves. Based on the information recorded in the book, 75% of the literary figures studied for themselves; secondly, literary figures united around major places to pursue study. Many of them were active with a base in their areas. There were certain zones created around places to pursue study in Seonsan, Indong, and Ibam. There were no local boundaries in their academic tendencies. Those who were active in Seonsan, Indong, and Ibam showed a common trend within a comprehensive scope in terms of writing and academic activities; finally, the mainstream was practical learning. They published geography books, list-type books, books of rites, all kinds of Dongyak and Hyangyak, and Jokjungibyak.
