시-노래 〈향수〉를 활용한 한국어 음운 변동 교수·학습 방안

국문 초록

이 연구는 시-노래인 정지용의 <향수>(김희갑 작곡, 박인수·이동원 노래)를 활용하여 외국어로서의 한국어 학습자를 위한 음운 변동 발음의 교수·학습 방안을 마련하는 데에 목적을 두었다. 대학(충남의 K대학) 재학 중인 중급 학습자(한국어능력시험 3-4급 수준) 23명에게 정지용의 시 <향수>를 제시하고 소리 나는 대로 적도록 하였다. 그 결과 한국어 중급 학습자들임에도 불구하고한국어 음운 변동에는 많은 오류를 보였다. 이는 효율적이고도 실제적인 한국어 음운 변동 교수·학습 방안이 마련되어 지속적으로 교육해야 한다는 점을 시사한다. 음운 변동 교육의 텍스트로서 정지용의 시-노래인 <향수>를 선택한 이유는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시 <향수>에는 자음군 단순화, ㄴ첨가, 경음화, 음절 끝소리 규칙, 비음화, 축약 등의 다양한 음운 변동 현상이 나타난다.둘째, 정지용의 <향수>는학습자들이 시의 화자와 소통을 하면서 고향에 대한 향수의 감흥을 불러일으킬 수 있다. 셋째, 음운 변동을 노래로 자연스럽게 학습하여 학습자들의 흥미와 집중도를 높일 수 있다.이 연구가 ‘시-노래를 활용한 음운 변동 교수·학습 방안 연구’라는 점에 초점을 맞추어 ‘제시(문제 발견)와 탐구-연습과 적용-활용과 확인’ 등 음운 변동 발음의 교수·학습 단계를 설정하였다. 첫째로 제시(문제 발견)와 탐구 단계에서는 노래 <향수> 듣기, 시 <향수>에 대한 이해와 감상하기, 노래를 듣고 발음과 표기가 다른 부분 찾기, 시를 읽고 음운 변동의 유형 탐구하기 등을 교수·학습하도록 한다. 둘째로 연습과 적용에서는 노래 <향수>를 듣고 따라 합창하기, 시를 소리 나는 대로 바르게 적기, 노래를 독창 또는 2-3명이 중창하기 등을 교수·학습하도록 한다. 셋째로 활용과 확인 단계에서는 음운 변동이 일어나는 단어와 문장 받아쓰기, 음운 변동이 일어나는 단어와 문장 읽고 소리 나는 대로 적기, 음운 변동 발음을 생성하기 위한 텍스트 활용하기, 평가 및 오류 교정하기 등을 교수·학습하도록 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to prepare a method for teaching and learning phonological change for Korean intermediate level learners as a foreign language by using the poem-song (composed by Kim Higap, Park Insu and Lee Dongwon s song) of Jeong Ji-yong. Twenty-three intermediate learners (level 3 to 4 of the Korean Language Proficiency Test) enrolled in a university (K University in Chungcheongnam-do) were presented with Jeong Ji-yong s poem and wrote down aloud. As a result, even though they were intermediate learners of Korean, they showed many errors in Korean phonological changes. This suggests that effective and practical Korean phonological change teaching and learning should be continuously taught. The reasons for choosing , a poem-song by Jeong Jiyong, are as follows as the text of phonological change education. First, in this poem, various phonological fluctuations such as consonant group simplification, /ㄴ/addition, hard consonantization, syllable ending rules, nasalization, and abbreviation appear. Second, Jeong Jiyong s can evoke a sense of nostalgia for the hometown in which learners communicate with the narrator of the poem. Third, it is possible to increase the interest and concentration of learners by naturally learning phonological changes through song. I set up the teaching and learning stages of phonological change using poem-song as ‘presentation(problem discovery) and inquiry-practice and application-utilization and confirmation’. In the first stage, listen to the song , understand and appreciate the poem , listen to the song and find parts with different pronunciation and notation, read the poem and explore the types of phonological changes. In the second stage, listen to and sing along to the song , write the poem correctly as it sounds, and sing the song solo or with 2 or 3 people. In the third stage, dictation of words and sentences with phonological fluctuations, reading and writing down phonologically changing words and sentences aloud, utilizing texts to generate phonological pronunciations, evaluating and correcting errors.
