Song Gyo was the son of Song Rhin, who was active in King Chungryul and King Chungseon. His descendants are called Jisingongpa because Song Rhin served as a government official at Jisinsa. At the end of the Goryeo Dynasty, Song Gyo built a hermitage called Songgongam on Unju-san Mountain, located in Sannae-myeon, Jeongeup-si, Jeollabuk-do, and died while living a life of a great governor. Songgongam Hermitage, where Song Gyo was relocated and settled, was located in an area called Songgam in Maejuk-ri, Sannae-myeon. Song Gyo s fall is deeply related to Song Rhin s treason. As a result, when the central political community lost its vested interests, it chose to return to Unjusan Mountain in Taein. The choice of hiding place as Unjusan Mountain influenced by the fact that Yongjangsa Temple was located in Unjusan Mountain to live a Buddhist life along with the relocation of part of his wife s family to Impi, a place close to Yeosan. Above all, however, the biggest reason was that it was a remote place where communication with the outside world was difficult. This is because, from the standpoint of Song Gyo, the son of Song Rhin, who was executed traitorously, he had no choice but to worry about political consequences. Song Gyo built Songgongam Hermitage on Unjusan Mountain and lived as a resident, and Songgongam Hermitage, where he lived, was reconstructed twice by Song Kwang-yeon and Song Jing-gye, who were his uncle and nephews. The reconstruction of Songgongam Hermitage is related to Raising the status of family in the late Joseon Dynasty. The establishment of a tombstone or reconstruction of the founder s residence of the faction was part of a family decoration to raise the status of the family. Song Gyo, the son of Song Rhin, rather than Song Rhin, the founder of the faction, was highlighted in the Jishingong-pa of Yeosan Song Clan, because Song Rhin, whose act of rebellion was clear, did not greatly help the family s presence. Therefore, in the documents of the family, including genealogy, his son Song Gyo was highlighted instead of Song Rhin. Song Kwang-yeon and Song Jing-gye tried to achieve great filial piety by promoting the family s prosperity by rebuilding Songgongam, where he lived, instead of the tomb of Songgyo, which was practiced.
