1705년 금보개수도감에서 제작한 금보 보자기의 소재와 문양에 관한 고찰

국문 초록

국립고궁박물관에 소장된 어보는 종묘 신실에 모셔져 있던 것을 이관한 것이다. 이관 당시 부속 유물들이 교란되어 어보와 봉과제구 등이 제작 시기와 맞지 않는 문제점이 제기되었다. 1705년 금보개수도감에서 새로 제작된 어보 10과 금보용 금보보(어보보)를 연구대상으로 제작 연도가 분명한 기록과 복식 유물, 옥책함 내도의 등 관련 유물의 문양 이미지와 비교하여 분석한 결과, 8점의 금보보와 2점의 보통보로 분류되었고, ‘다홍운문대단’으로 기록된 금보보의 소재는 다홍색 운보문단임을 확인하였다. ‘정하 운보문 판독법’으로 운보문 문양을 판독한 결과, 목조, 익조비, 환조, 환조비의 금보보가 1705년 금보와 함께 제작된 보자기일 가능성이 큰 것으로 파악되었고, 도조 금보보(1)은 1713∼1721년 제작된 어보 보자기의 소재로 사용되었음을 알 수 있었다. 목조비 금보보와 도조 금보보(2)는 1705년 금보보의 가능성은 낮은 것으로 파악되었고, 익조 금보의 무문단 금보보의 경우 1705년 제작된 금보보가 아님을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

The royal seals kept in the National Palace Museum of Korea were transferred from sinsil(a spirit chamber) at Jongmyo Shrine. During the transfer, other relics were disturbed so that royal seals were not matched with encased ritual utensils in terms of their production times. This study comparatively analyzed the records having clear production dates with the patterns of related relics such as costume artifacts and cases for jade books against 10 royal seals and their golden royal seal-wrapping cloths newly designed by the Directorate for the Restoration of the Golden Royal Seals in the 31st year of the reign of King Sukjong. As a result, the royal seal-wrapping cloths were classified into 8 golden royal seal-wrapping cloths and 2 regular ones. In terms of the material, the golden royal seal-wrapping cloths were recorded as ‘dahol unmundaedan(a large piece with red cloud patterns)’ and ‘dahong-unbomundan(a piece with red cloud-treasure patterns)’. According to analysis of the cloud-treasure patterns. using the jeongha-unbomun pattern-reading method, there is a high possibility that the golden royal seal-wrapping cloths of King Mok jo, King Ikjo’s wife, King Hwanjo and his wife were made together with the golden royal seals in 1705. It was confirmed that the golden royal seal-wrapping cloth (1) of King Dojo was used in making royal seal-wrapping cloths during 1713-1721. It is very unlikely that the golden royal seal-wrapping cloths of King Mokjo’s wife and King Dojo (2) were not the golden royal seal-wrapping cloths used in 1705. In addition, it was confirmed that the pattern-less golden royal seal-wrapping cloth of King Ikjo is not the golden royal seal-wrapping cloth made in 1705.
