국문 초록

이 연구는 키워드 네트워크 분석을 활용하여 평생교육정책 주요 시기에 따른 「평생교육학연구」의 연구동향을 계량적으로 파악하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 2005년부터 2020년까지「평생교육학연구」에 게재된 434편의 논문을 학술지인용색인(KCI) 데이터베이스를 통해 수집하고, 최종적으로 추출된 1,017개의 키워드를 대상으로 전체 기간과 평생교육정책 주요 시기별 키워드 네트워크의 구조적 특성, 개별 키워드의 중심성 분석, 클러스터 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 「평생교육학연구」의 키워드 네트워크는 키워드 간 응집력이 낮고, 느슨한 속성을 갖고 있으며, 이러한 경향은 시간의 흐름에 따라 더 두드러지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 평생교육정책 주요 시기별 키워드 네트워크 속성은 2기(2008년-2012년)의 노드 수와 연결 수가 가장 많은 것으로 나타났으며, 1기 (2002-2007)와 4기(2018-2022) 네트워크는 다른 시기에 비해 상대적으로 응집력과 중심화경향이 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 「평생교육학연구」에서 지속적으로 관심의 대상이 되고 있는 주제 분야는 ‘평생학습’, ‘지역사회교육’, ‘성인학습 및 성인학습자’, ‘고등교육’이었다. 넷째, 「평생교육학연구」의 연구주제는 평생교육정책과 연계성이 강한 주제와 그렇지 않은 주제로 구분할 수 있었다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 평생교육 분야의 향후 연구과제를 제시하였으며 이 연구의 한계를 보완한 후속 연구 등을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to quantitatively grasp the research trends of the Journal of Lifelong Education (JLE) according to the significant period of lifelong education policy by using keyword network analysis. For this purpose, we collected 432 papers published in JLE from 2005 to 2020 through the Korean Journal of Citation Index (KCI) database. Finally, a total of 1,017 keywords were analyzed for structural characteristics of the keyword network, centrality analysis of individual keywords, and cluster analysis. As a result of the research, First, the keyword network of JLE had a low cohesion between keywords and had loose properties, and this trend became more pronounced over time. Second, concerning the comparison for each period of lifelong education policy, the number of nodes and links in the second period (2008-2012) was the highest for the keyword network attributes. Otherwise, the first (2002-2007) and fourth (2018-2022) periods showed high cohesion and centralization tendency compared to other periods. Third, the subject areas that have been continuously interested in JLE were ‘lifelong learning, ‘community education, ‘adult learning and adult learner, and ‘higher education. Fourth, the research subjects of JLE could be divided into those that were strongly related to lifelong education policy and those that were not. Based on the research results, future research agenda in the field of lifelong education was suggested.
