키워드 네트워크 분석을 활용한 미얀마 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 한국학술지인용색인(KCI)에 미얀마(버마)를 키워드로 발표한 535편의 논문을 키워드 네트워크 분석방법을 활용하여 연구 동향을 분석하였다. 535편을 대상으로 키워드 네트워크와 토픽을 봉합분석하였고, 동시에 2016년을 기준으로 초기 연구(1999년~2015년, 237편)와 최근 연구(2016년~2021년, 298편)로 구분하여 비교분석하였다. 종합분석 결과는 미얀마 내부 이슈, 국제관계, 미얀마 문화 연구 비중이 높았다. 토픽 모델링 분석 결과에서는 무역·투자, 외교, 농업, 군부가 상위 토픽을 차지했다. 반면 시기별 비교 연구 결과는 초기 연구의 경우 국제관계, 소수민족, 불교, 언어 연구가 많았지만 2016년 이후 최근 연구는 한국과의 관계, 미얀마 진출, 진출 지원 정책 등 한국기업의 진출관련 연구가 많았다. 2016년 이후 논문들의 연구 토픽을 보면 공적개발원조, 기업 진출 지원, 직접투자 성과에 대한 연구가 상위를 차지하였고 그 외 농업, 관광, 서비스업 협력방안 연구가 활발히 이루어졌다. 토픽 분석결과 군부를 토픽으로 한 연구가 가장 많았지만 세부 키워드를 보면 헌법 개정, 소수민족, 인권, 로힝야, 군부기업, 민주정부와 관계 연구가 많았고, 쿠데타와 연계된 연구는 전체의 5% 이내였다. 군부 쿠데타가 발발한 현재 향후 연구에서는 정치체제, 법제도 변화, 산업 육성에 대한 연구를 통해 국내 기업의 미얀마 진출을 실질적으로 지원하기 위한 연구가 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the research trends of 535 papers published in the Korean Journal of Citation Index (KCI) with Myanmar(Burma) as a keyword using the keyword network analysis method. In addition to the comprehensive analysis in the study, the initial study (1999~2015) and the recent study (2016~2021) were compared. As a results of the comprehensive analysis, the important research keywords were Myanmar internal themes such as Buddhism, ethnicity, language, politics), international relations, and Myanmar s cultural assets. According to the results of the topic modeling analysis, trade and investment, diplomatic strategy, agricultural development, and conflict between the military and the democratic government were derived as core topics. According to the results of comparative analysis by period, Myanmar research has increased rapidly since 2016. The majority of studies focused on the relevance to Korea, policy development and industry-related topics for example, studies on business advancement support, ODA(official development assistance), business entry support policy and foreign direct investment support. Although military-related research has been actively conducted in quantitative terms, looking at detailed keywords, many studies are concentrated on constitutional revision, ethnic minorities, human rights, Rohingya, military companies. In future research, research is needed to support the entry into Myanmar through research on political system, legal system change and industrial development.
