교사 관점에서 살펴 본 청소년의 공격성 및 품행문제에 관한 연구

국문 초록

학교폭력 및 청소년 범죄의 문제는 어제, 오늘의 일이 아닌 오래된 사회문제이다. 학교폭력은 반복된 공격행위로 인해 학교폭력의 피해는 심리사회적, 정서적 어려움 등 청소년의 발달 저해를 초래하게 된다. 청소년 범죄는 저연령화, 지속화, 심각화, 재범화 등 특성을 지니고 있다. 따라서 학교 폭력 및 청소년 범죄는 개인의 문제가 아니라 가정, 사회 나아가 국가에도 영향을 미치는 사회적 문제현상으로 이를 규명하는 연구는 필요하다. 본 연구는 선행연구를 검토하여 청소년의 사회성 기술과 학습기술이 신체화를 거쳐 공격성과 품행문제에 미치는 영향을 확인하는 것이다. 즉, 교육자에 의해 평가된 중·고교생의 사회성 기술과 학습기술이 신체화를 거쳐 청소년시기에 대표적 문제행동인 공격성과 품행문제로 이어지는 경로를 확인하고자 하였다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하고자 청소년 150명(남 75명, 여75명) 교육자들로 하여금 자신이 담당하는 학생의 행동을 평가하도록 하였다. 연구자료의 분석은 SPSS 21.0을 활용해 기술통계와 상관분석을 실시하였으며, Mplus 7.0의 구조방정식모델(Structural equation modeling)을 활용해 측정모형과 구조모형을 검증하였다. 연구결과 교육자가 평가한 청소년의 사회성 기술과 학습기술이 공격성과 품행문제에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 동시에 청소년의 사회성 기술과 학습기술이 신체화를 통해 공격성과 품행문제에 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 부분매개 모형의 적합도가 자료에 부합하는 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 사회성 기술은 품행문제에 유의미한 부적 영향을, 학습기술은 신체화와 공격성에 유의미한 부적 영향을 미쳤다. 신체화는 공격성과 품행문제에 유의미한 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 매개효과 검증결과 사회성 기술은 품행문제에 유의미한 부적 영향을, 학습기술은 신체화와 공격성에 유의미한 부적 영향을 미쳤다. 신체화는 공격성과 품행문제에 유의미한 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 매개효과 검증결과 교육자가 평가한 청소년의 학습기술 부족이 신체화를 거쳐 공격성과 품행문제 각각에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인했다.

영문 초록

Adolescent offending and other antisocial behaviors are a great concern in contemporary society. Particular attention must be paid to school violence and juvenile delinquency as failures in treating them properly can lead to serious consequences, such as inhibition of adolescents psychosocial development and emotional difficulties, etc., and its effect can also be continued in adulthood. Furthermore, the starting age of juvenile crime, particularly for school violence and delinquent behavior, has got younger, the severity has become cruel, and the rate of recidivism is high. Therefore, a research to clarify school violence and juvenile delinquency which is not for individual but for families and public safety is crucial. This study examined the mediating role of relation with teacher rated adolescent Somatization in the relationship between Study Skills, Social Skills and Externalizing Problems(i.e., Aggression and Conduct Problems). The data set consists of 150 teacher ratings of equal proportion of girls and boys in middle and high school students. In the preliminary analyses, we first examined the descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analyses using the SPSS 21.0, after that a structural equation modeling was used to test the proposed pathway among the variables using Mplus 7.0. The results based on teacher-report questionnaires indicated that the partially mediated model for this study provided good fit indices. The pathway of influence among Social Skills, Study Skills, Somatization, and, Externalizing Problems was in the predicted direction. The direct path coefficients from Social Skills to Aggression(-), and the path from Study Skills to Somatization(-) and Aggression(-) were all significant. The direct path from Somatization to Aggression(+) and Conduct Problems(+) were significant. Bootstrapping result showed the standardized mediational effect of Study Skills on Aggression and Conduct Problems were significant respectively. More specifically, as lack of Study Skills and increase in Somatization tendency leads to an increase in Externalizing behaviors, in terms of Aggression and Conduct Problems. Limitations of the current study and suggestions for future investigations are included in the discussion.
