原州元氏 元豪家의 성장과 근거지 확산

국문 초록

본고는 전통적인 武班家라고 할 수 있는 原州元氏 忠壯公 元豪家의 중앙정치세력으로의 성장과 가문의 확산을 다룬 글이다. 元豪家는 조선 중･후기라고 할 수 있는 17세기 仁祖代부터 18세기 英祖代까지 그 가문의 주요 인물들의 문･무과 급제와 활발한 정치적 활동을 통해 駙馬를 배출하고, 중앙의 정치세력과의 지속적인 혼인관계를 형성했다. 그 결과 무반가문이었던 元豪家는 이후 약 150여 년 간 文班으로서 왕실 및 중앙 정치의 핵심세력이 되기에 이르렀다. 이러한 가문의 위상 변화는 묘산의 위치 변화와 확산이 주로 近畿地域으로 이루어지는 것으로도 확인할 수 있었다. 이 글은 원주원씨 元豪家가 임진왜란 등의 國亂과 仁祖反正, 鳳林大君이었던 孝宗의 즉위, 英祖의 탕평책 추진 등 중앙 정국의 정치적 변동 속에서 새로운 왕실 세력으로 등장할 수 있었던 이유와 이후 중앙 정치세력으로서의 위상을 이어나갈 수 있었던 일단의 양상을 파악하는데 목적이 있다.

영문 초록

This work examines the process of Wonho s family, which was a traditional military branch, growing into a central political force. The figures of Wonho s family produced past-level disciples from King Injo in the 17th century to King Yeongjo in the 18th century, and produced bumas through active political activities, and formed a lasting marriage relationship with the central political force. As a result, Wonho s family became a civil branch and became a key force in the royal family and central politics for about 150 years. This change in the status of the family is also confirmed by the fact that the position of the family gradually spreads to the Geungi area. The purpose of this work is to understand the reason why Wonho s family of the Wonjuwon clan was able to emerge as a new royal power in the midst of changes in central politics, and why it was able to continue its status as a central political power after that.
