국문 초록

이 글은 기술/매체의 특이성을 재난과 결부 짓고, 키틀러가 제안하는 매체 이론적 관점에서 고찰한 것이다. 학살은 행정적 행위가 된 바 있고, 결여된 채로 지속되는 평범한 일상의 누적은 ‘세월호 사건’에 이르게 했다. 일련의 상황들은 인간의 ‘사물화’라는점을 자각하게 한다. 그리고 그 중심에는 인간과 기술의 관계맺음이 있는 것처럼 보인다. 잘라 말해, 기술은 우리를 둘러싼 자연이 되어 있다. 이제 과거 시기의 기후적 재난은 기술적 재난으로 그 모습을 바꾼다. 키틀러의 이론(‘매체 이론’)은 이러한 정황을 증명하는데 유용하다. 그에 따르면, 인간은 매체에 의해 규정되는 존재로 밝혀진다. ‘인간성’의 주요 조건이 ‘기술/매체’에 달려있다는 뜻이고, 이를 통해 우리 사회에 만연한 무책임의 구조는 지적될 수 있다. 그가 제안하는 인간 개념의 해체가 인간의 응시를 가능하게 하기 때문이다. 종전의 자명한 인간개념을 해체함으로써, 인간을 대상화하는 시선에 균열이 가해진다. 이 지점에서 우리의현실이 돌파될 가능성이 마련될 수도 있다. 이와 같은 과정을 첼란의 ｢죽음의 푸가｣와이영광의 ｢마음 1｣을 통해 살펴보고자 하였다.

영문 초록

In this paper, correlates the peculiarity of Technology/Media with disaster. It was considered from the theoretical point of view suggested by Kittler. The massacre has become an administrative act, and the accumulation of ordinary everyday life that has been lasting lacking led to the ‘Sinking of MV Sewol’. A series of situations make us realize that it is human’s ‘Reification (Verdinglichung)’. And at the center, it seems, there is a connection between human and technology. In short, technology is the nature surrounding us. The climate disasters of the past period now turn to technological disasters. Kittler’s theory (the ‘media theory’) is useful in proving this situation. According to him, humans are found to be defined by the media. It means that the main condition of ‘humanity’ depends on ‘Technology/Media’, and through this, the structure of irresponsibility prevalent in our society can be pointed out. This is because the dismantling of the human concept he suggests enables staring of human. By dismantling the previously self-evident concept of human beings, cracks are applied to the eyes that objectify humans. At this point, there may be a possibility that our reality will break through. I intended to look at this process through Todesfuge by Celan and Mind 1 by Lee Young-kwang.
