성정(性情)과 인식의 섭리에 교응한 동양미술

국문 초록

조선 성리학에 스며든 ‘성정(性情)’은 인간 감정을 대변하는 심리 요소이다. 인간 감정은 성정과 인식 섭리의 교응을 밝히는 밑거름이다. 이러한 성정으로서의 인식은 조선 사회뿐만이 아니라 오늘날에도 지대한 영향을 미치는 심리 개념이다. 이 논문에서는 조선 성리학에 담긴 성정이 인식 문제와 교응하는 인간 감정을 다룬다. 아울러 용수와 노장사상과도 접목한다. 이에 성정과 인식 관계에 따른 근본을 미술품의화맥과 연결 짓는 연구이다. 말하자면 성정에서 정의 발에는 기가 따르고 기의 감(感)에는 이가 타는 논리이다. 즉 이와 기는 겸비하므로 성과 정이 포함되는 ‘겸리기통성정(兼 理氣統性情)’의 마음이 스민다. 이른바 마음은 성과 정을 통회하는 근거이다. 곧 적연부동(寂然不動) 하면 성으로써 심체를 이룬다. 그런 까닭에 감이수통(感而遂通) 하면 정으로 말미암아 심의 용(用)을 남긴다. 결국 성정과 인식 문제는 인간 감정을 대변하는 마음의 작용에 따른다. 곧 성정의 마음에는 기발과 미발이 통회 작용으로써 심체와 심용의 관계를 이룬다.

영문 초록

The ‘Natual Emotion’(性情) permeated by the Neo-Confucianism of Chosun period is a psychological element that represents human emotions. Human emotions are the basis for the interaction between ‘Natural Emotion’ and the ‘Uncertainty’. This ‘Understanding’ as ‘Natural Emotion’ is not only a Korean society but also a psychological concept that has a profound impact on today. In this paper, Natural Emotion in the Neo-Confucianism of Joseon period deals with human emotions in interaction with the problem of Understanding. Therefore, it is a study that connects the root of ‘Nature’ and the cognitive relationship with the flow of art works. In other words, the rise of Sentiments in Nature follows the ‘Atmosheric Force of Nature’(氣). Therefore, the logic of the ‘Atmospheric Force of Nature’ reflective respance is the ‘Theory of the Basic Principles’(理). The that ‘Which Includes Both Principle and Material Force and Combines and Governs the Nature and the Feelings’(兼理氣統性情) of the the mind and the spirit of the spirit and the spirit of nature. The so-called ‘Mind’ is the basis for continuing ‘Nature’ and ‘Emotion’. Soon, ‘Contemplative Motionless’(寂然不動) becomes nature the ‘Substance of Heart- Mind’(心體) and becomes the ‘Substance of Heart-Mind’. For this reason, ‘Enlightenment through Insulation’(感而遂通) becomes ‘Emotion’ and remains ‘Influence of Suchness’(心用). The problem of ‘Natural Emotion’ and awareness is based on the psychology that represents human emotions. Soon, in the mind of Natural Emotion, ‘Already Expressed One’s Feels’ and ‘Un-Awakened Mind’ form the relationship between ‘Influence of Suchness’.
