국문 초록

야생 동물들은 중독물질에 둘러싸여 살면서도 중독에서 자유로운 듯 보인다. 그러나 인간은 알콜, 마약 등 물질중독과 도박, 일, 권력, 섹스 등 다양한 행위중독에 취약하다. 인간이 생명으로서 본성을 억압하고 왜곡하는 문명의 삶을 살기 때문이 아닐까 한다. 중독이 사회적으로 확산되면서 문명의 그늘을 보여주는 문제로 떠오르고 있다. 중독은 특정한 개인의 문제적 행태가 아닌 모든 사람의 삶의 과제로 인식되어야 하는 단계에 와 있다고 판단된다. 본 연구는 이와 같은 취지에서 생명의 관점으로 어떻게 중독현상을 심층적으로 이해하고 대응할 수 있는지 궁구하였다. 생명의 관점으로 보면 중독은 중독물(중독행위)에 과집착하는 생명현상이다. 우리는 생명자아의 각성과 생명 감수성 등 생명의 능력을 길러 중독물을 인지 및 방어하고 나 자신의 과집착을 자각하여 중독에서 벗어날 수 있다. 생명자아, 생명존재, 생명감수성 등 생명관련 요소를 집중적으로 검토하는 가운데 중독에 대응하는 생명문화의 길을 모색하고자 하였다.

영문 초록

Wild animals seem free of addiction, But people are vulnerable to substance addiction such as alcohol and drugs, and various behavioral addictions such as gambling, work, power, and sex. The reason is understood as living the life of a civilization that oppresses and distorts its nature as life. As the scope of addiction is expanding, it has become a subject to reflect on the shadows of human civilization. Addiction is now perceived as a task for all mankind, not as a problem behavior of a specific individual. This study aims to show how to understand and respond to the addiction phenomenon from the perspective of life. From the point of view of life, addiction is a life phenomenon, and it is not unconditionally bad and sinful. We can develop life sensibilities to recognize and defend against addictions, and to become aware of our own over-addiction to escape addiction. It can be said that when you develop life sensitivity, you also increase your chances of escaping from serious addiction. This study intensively reviewed the life-related factors such as the life-ego, existence of life, and life-sensitivity, and sought a way of life culture that responds to addiction.
