사회복지전공 대학생의 인권의식이 다문화태도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 사회복지전공 대학생의 인권의식과 다문화태도의 수준을 파악하고, 인권의식이 다문화태도에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 이를 위해 서울, 경기, 충청지역 소재 8개 대학교에 재학하는 사회복지전공 대학생 233명을 대상으로 편의표집에 의한 온라인 설문조사를 실시한 결과를 SPSS 24.0을 사용해 분석하였다. 인권의식은 국가인권위원회(2008)의 인권교육평가도구 및 실행지침 공통문항(간편형) 척도로, 다문화태도는 황성동 외(2012)의 다문화태도 척도로, 그리고 몇 가지 인구사회적 특성을 묻는 문항으로 측정하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 인권의식은 4점 척도 기준으로 2.88점, 다문화태도는 6점 척도 기준으로 4.50점으로 나타났다. 둘째, 다중회귀분석결과 인권의식이 높을수록 다문화태도가 긍정적인 것으로 나타났으며, 회귀모형은 다문화태도 변량의 29.3%를 설명해 주었다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 사회복지전공 대학생의 인권의식을 높여서 다문화태도를 제고하기 위한 방안 및 후속연구를 위한 함의를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the level of human rights consciousness and multicultural attitudes of university students majoring social welfare, and the effect of human rights consciousness of university students majoring social welfare on multicultural attitudes. For this purpose, data were collected from 233 university students attending 8 universities in Seoul City, Gyeongi-Do, and Chungcheong-Do areas. They were selected by the convenience sampling method and surveyed using the structured questionnaire through online survey, and analyzed by SPSS 24.0 program. Research instruments were composed of the Human Rights Education Evaluation Tool and Implementation Guideline General Questionnaire(Short Form), developed by National Human Rights Commission of the Republic of Korea(2008), Multicultural Attitudes Scale, developed by Hwang et al(2012), and several socio-demographic variables. The major findings of this analysis are as follows. First, the level of human rights consciousness was 2.88/4 and multicultural attitudes was 4.50/6. Second, Multiple regression confirmed that human rights consciousness had a positive influence on multicultural attitudes, accounting 29.3% of the variance of multicultural attitudes. Based on the above results, implications for policy, practice, and future research suggestions for increasing human rights consciousness in order to increase multicultural attitudes were further discussed.
