국문 초록

임진왜란 중 독산성의 4차례 축성과정은 조총을 비롯한 화약 병기에 대비한 성제 변화를이끌었다. 서울의 배후 기지에 위치한 독산성은 전쟁 중에는 물론이고 전쟁이 끝난 뒤에도유일하게 보수와 관리가 지속된 산성이었다. 무엇보다도 독산성은 임진왜란 이후 조총 위주의화약병기에 대비해 축조한 첫 번째 성곽이자 산성으로서, 17세기 중반 인조대 남한산성을축성하기 전까지 조선의 성곽을 대표하는 성곽이라고 할 수 있다. 성첩, 포루, 현안, 우마장, 성랑, 치성, 해자, 목책 등과 불랑기포의 배치 등은 임란 이후달라진 성제의 모습을 잘 보여준다. 임진왜란 이후 독산성 성제의 변화에 핵심은 포루에 있다. 포루는 성을 지키는데 가장 긴요한 시설로서 임진왜란 이후 성제의 변화를 이끈 가장 핵심시설이었다. 유성룡이 “만약에 하나의 포루를 만들면 위 항목의 허다한 성의 제도는 다 쓸 필요가 없다. 이는 대개 옹성ㆍ현안ㆍ우마장의 제도를 겸해서 하나로 만든 것이다”라고 말한 것은 당시성곽 방어에서 포루가 갖는 중요성을 잘 말해준다. 특히 독성의 포루는 임진왜란 이후 가장 앞선 시기에 축조된 포루라는 점에서 의의가 클 뿐 아니라 조선후기 포루의 선구를 이룬다는점에서 성곽적 의미가 크다.

영문 초록

During the Imjin Invasion, Doksanseong Fortress was built four times, leading to a change in the sanctuary in preparation for gunpowder weapons, including the rifle. Doksanseong Fortress, located in the Baeji region of Seoul, was the only fortress that maintained maintenance and management during and after the war. Above all, Doksanseong Fortress was the first fortress and fortress constructed after the Imjin War in preparation for gunpowder-oriented gunpowder weapons, and it can be said to be a representative fortress of Joseon until Namhansanseong Fortress was constructed in the mid 17th century. Seongcheop, Poru, Hyeonan, umajang, Seongrang, Chiseong, Moat, Barriers, etc., and the arrangement of Bulranggi clearly show the appearance of the Seongje that has changed since the Immortal War. The key to the change of Doksanseong Fortress after the Imjin War lies in the Poru. Poru was the most important facility to protect the castle, and was the most important facility that led the change of the castle after the Imjin War. Yoo Seong-ryong said, “If you make one gun, you don t need to use all of the system of castles listed above. This is usually made by combining the systems of Ongseong, Hyeonan, and Woomajang.” Said, “The importance of the Poru in the defense of the fortress at the time is well understood. In particular, the Toxic Poru is not only significant in that it was built in the earliest period after the Imjin War, but also has a great significance in that it became the pioneer of Poru in the late Joseon Dynasty.
