국문 초록

본 연구는 한국인과 한국어를 1년 정도 학습한 학습자를 대상으로 단순모음 표준 발음을 듣고 구분할 수 있는지를 평가하기 위해 실험 설문을 통해 여러 가지 기준으로 분석하였다. 단순모음을 ‘ㅜ, ㅗ, ㅓ,’와 ‘ㅔ, ㅐ’로 분류하여 한국인과 외국인의 정답률과 한국인의 성별, 연령별, 지역별 정답률을 비교 분석하였다. 말하기 위해서는 듣기가 선행되어야 할 것이다. 정확한 발음을 위해서는 단순모음을 학습할 때 확실히 구분된 발음으로 교육이 이루어져야 한다. 그러나, 자음 교육에 비해 조음 위치를 정확하게 설명하기 어려워 모음 교육이 소홀하게 다루어지는 경우가 있다. 또한, 교육의 중요성도 인식하지 못하는 경우가 있어 단순모음의 중요성과 교육 현장에서 단순모음 발음을 지도할 때 주의할 점들을 생각해 보는 게 이 연구의 목적이다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed various criteria in an experimental survey to assess whether Koreans and learners who had learned Korean for about a year could hear and distinguish simple vowel standard pronunciations. The simple vowels were classified into ’ ㅜ, ㅗ, ㅓ,’ and ㅔ, ㅐ and compared and analyzed the correctness rate for Koreans and their gender, age, and regional answers. Listening will have to precede speaking. For accurate pronunciation, training should be done with distinct pronunciation when learning simple vowels. However, the purpose of this study is to consider the importance of simple vowels and the precautions to be taken when guiding simple vowel pronunciations at the training site, as collective education is often neglected and the importance of training is not recognized in that it cannot accurately explain the position of articulation.
