국문 초록

오늘날 시각장애인을 위한 미술 감상 방법 연구는 모두의 사회참여를 이루어나가는 사회를 만들기 위해 중요한 의미가 있다. 이미지가 정보를 주도하는 사회에서 시각장애인은 문화생활의 사각지대에 있었기 때문에, 이에 대한 대안과 방안을 마련하는 역할이 중요해졌다. 이미지를 감상하는 것은 각막과 수정체를 통과해 망막에 맺히는 기능적인 것뿐만 아니라, 문화를 바탕으로 한 상호간의 약속 체계, 즉 기호를 이해하는 것이다. 이러한 체계를 연구하는 기호학은 사람들이 사용하는 기호의 법칙과 기호를 통해 생겨나는 의미를 해석하고 공유하는 학문이기에 미술 감상의 수단이 된다. 본고는 이러한 지점에 입각하여, 이미지를 이해하고 해석하는 기틀에 기호학을 사용하여 시각장애인의 미술 감상을 이미지의 언어화 측면으로 접근하였다. 이러한 방법론을 적용하여 진행한 <기호학에 토대한 미술 감상 교육프로그램>은 언어를 활용해 작품을 감상하는 시각장애인에게 언어적 상호작용의 기틀을 마련하여 미술 감상의 질적 향상과 감상의 전문성을 높인 것으로, 시각장애인의 미술 감상방식 지평을 넓혔다는 측면에서 장애학적 함의가 있다.

영문 초록

Today, the study of how to appreciate art for the visual impaired has important social implications for achieving everyone s social participation. In a society where images lead to information, the cultural life that anyone can enjoy is becoming inaccessible to the visual impaired. so the role of researching this and coming up with a plan has become important. Appreciating images is not only functional, passing through cornea and lens and forming on the retina. Image is to understand the mutual commitment system based on culture. The law of symbols used by people and the way they interpret and share the meaning of symbols can be a way of appreciating art. Based on these points, this paper used semiotics to approach art appreciation in terms of linguistic aspects of images on the basis of understanding and interpreting images. The program, which was conducted by applying this methodology, laid the foundation for verbal interaction for the visually impaired, who mainly used language to appreciate works, thereby enhancing the quality of art appreciation and expertise in appreciation. As a result, this paper has disability studies significance in that it has expanded the way people with visual impairments appreciate art.
