기업혁신이 수출성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구: PSM 방법

국문 초록

연구목적 : 기업의 혁신은 불확실한 경영환경에서 생존하기 위해서 매우 중요한 요소이다. 이러한 이유로, 많은 관련 연구들은 혁신의 영향을 규명하였다. 그러나, 관련연구들은 연구개발비 지출을 혁신으로 측정함으로써 문제를 나타낸다. 따라서 본 연구는 기업의 혁신의 산출물로써 제품혁신을 고려하였다. 나아가 성향점수매칭 방법은 표본의 선택편의에서 발생하는 혁신 영향의 과대평가를 해결하기 위해서 사용되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 수출성과에 미치는 제품혁신의 영향을 규명하는데 있다. 연구방법 : 기업혁신 활동 조사표를 사용하여, 수출에 미치는 혁신의 영향을 분석하기 위해 성향점수매칭 방법을 활용하였다. 결과 : 수출성과에 미치는 제품혁신의 자체적 영향은 없는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 다양한 기업의 특성을 고려한 분석에서도 제품혁신 자체의 영향은 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 기업의 수출성과를 향상시키기 위해서 제품혁신을 달성한 기업에게 마케팅 활동이 요구된다고 제시한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: Firms’ innovation is a very important key to survive in uncertain business environment. In this reason, many related studies investigated the impact of innovation. However, the related studies have the problem in measuring innovation as R&D expenditure. Therefore, this study considered the product innovation as an output of firms’ innovation. Moreover, the propensity score matching was used to overcome overestimation of the impact of innovation resulted from sample selection bias. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of product innovation on exporting performance. Methods: Using the table of activity on firm innovation, this study examined the effect of product innovation on exporting in exploring the propensity score matching. And logit analysis was used before the propensity score matching. Result: It is reported that there is no effect of product innovation itself on exporting performance. And no impact of product innovation is found in empirical analyses considering the firms’ characteristics. It is suggested that marketing activities is needed to increase exporting performance.
