국문 초록

이 연구는 음악의 본질을 바탕으로 고대부터 현대에 이르기까지 음악의 사회 ·정치적인 특성에 대해 다양한 학자들의 관점을 통합적으로 연구하는데 그 목적이 있다. 음악은 개인적인 감정을 표현하기도 하지만 사회적인 현상을 표현하기도 한다. 정치·사회학적인 관점에서 볼 때 음악은 사회현상의 반영과 함께 대중의 심리를 움직이고 파악할 수 있는 가장 효율적이고 유용한 방법이기 때문이다. 이러한 특징에 관해 동`서양의 학자들은 순수음악이 내포하고 있는 미학적 특성은 음악을 듣는 청중들에게 효율적이고 안정적으로 사회`정치적 목적을 달성할 수 있는 유용한 사회도구가 될 수 있다는 관점에 대해 일치하는 의견을 보였다.본 연구에서 다루어지고 있는 음악과 사회·정치와의 관련성에 관한 연구는 현재 극히 제한적으로 이루어지고 있다. 정치와 음악의 상관성에 관한 연구가 부족한 원인은 음악의 특수성과 정치적 상관성에 의한 연구를 위한 자료나 이론적 근거가 취약하기 때문으로 진단할 수 있다. 이에 음악학에 대한 사회·정치학적 접근에 대한 연구는 학제적 융·복합 연구를 위한 또 다른 근거가 될 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to comprehensively study the viewpoints of various scholars on the socio-political characteristics of music from ancient times to modern times based on the essence of music. Music expresses personal feelings, but it also expresses social phenomena. This is because, from a political and sociological perspective, music is the most efficient and useful way to move and grasp the public s psychology along with reflection of social phenomena. Regarding these characteristics, scholars of the East and the West agree on the view that the aesthetic characteristics of pure music can be a useful social tool that can efficiently and stably achieve social and political purposes for the listeners of music. Showed opinion. Research on the relationship between music and society and politics in this study is currently very limited. The reason for the lack of research on the correlation between politics and music can be diagnosed because the data or theoretical basis for research on the specificity of music and political correlation is weak. Therefore, the study on the socio-political approach to musicology is expected to be another basis for interdisciplinary convergence and research.
