국내 정밀의료의 현황과 방향성

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 정밀의료에 대한 현황 고찰과 더불어 미래에의 전망을 살펴보고자 함이다. 더불어 향후 정밀의료의 방향성에 대한 논의를 위한 탐색연구로서의 의의를 가진다.빅데이터 기술과 정보통신 기술이 결합한 바이오 의료 산업은 의료산업에서 고부가치적인 분야 중 하나로 주목받고 있다. 최근 3년 동안 의료 산업에서 화두가 되고 있는 분야는 정밀의료(precision medicine)이다. 전 세계는 차세대 의료 산업에서 정밀의료를 1순위로 뽑고 있다. 그러나 우리나라는 미국, 캐나다, 중국과 비교하면 첫 단계를 시작하는 수준이다. 현재까지 정밀의료에 대한 개념과 의미, 정밀의료의 기능과 활용 등에 대한 국내 정보가 제한적이다. 의료계에서는 정밀의료가 고평가되고 있으나 정밀의료의 현황과 방향성에 대해 조사한 문헌은 충분하지 않다. 따라서 본 연구는 정밀의료에 대한 개념과 정밀의료 산업에 대한 현황을 정리하였으며 향후 개인 맞춤형 정밀의료를 실현하기 위한 방향을 제안하였다.정밀의료는 우리의 건강과 건강 관리에 대한 생각과 사고 방식을 바꿀 수 있는 가능성이 높다. 정밀의료가 보편화하기 전 우리는 의사와 의료 제공자는 최신 과학 및 복잡한 데이터를 활용하여 환자를 이해하고 정확한 치료를 맞춤화 할 수 있는 새로운 기술과 도구를 배워야 할 것이다. 복잡한 생각을 환자들에게 전달하기 위한 도구가 필요할 것이다. 환자들은 유전학과 생물학에 대한 환자의 개인 데이터를 어떻게 보호되는지 그리고 그것들이 어떻게 사용되고 있는지를 알고 싶어 하므로 개인 정보를 강화하기 위한 견고한 플랫폼이 필요할 것이다. 향후 정밀의료 발전을 구축하기 위해서는 과학자들의 많은 연구와 정부와 민간의 파트너십, 시민 사회, 환자, 산업 및 정책 입안자의 협력이 필요할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the current status of precision medicine and the prospects for the future. In addition, it has significance as an exploratory study to discuss the future direction of precision medicine. The biomedical industry, which combines big data technology and information and communication technology, is drawing attention as one of the high value-added fields in the medical industry. The field that has become a hot topic in the medical industry for the last three years is precision medicine. The world ranks precision medicine first in the next-generation medical industry. However, compared to the US, Canada, and China, Korea is at the level of starting the first stage. To date, domestic information on the concept and meaning of precision medicine and the functions and uses of precision medicine is limited. Precision medicine is highly evaluated in the medical field, but the literature on the current status and direction of precision medicine is insufficient. Therefore, this study summarizes the concept of precision medicine and the current status of the precision medicine industry, and proposes a direction for realizing personalized precision medicine in the future. Precision medicine is likely to change the way we think and think about health and health care. Before precision medicine becomes prevalent, we will need doctors and healthcare providers to learn new technologies and tools that can use the latest science and complex data to understand patients and tailor precise treatments. You will need tools to communicate complex thoughts to patients. Patients want to know how to protect their personal data about genetics and biology and how they are being used, so they will need a robust platform to enhance their privacy. In order to establish the advancement of precision medicine in the future, a lot of research by scientists, partnership between the government and the private sector, civil society, patients, industry and policy makers will need cooperation.
