대가야 왕도와 방어체계에 대한 시론

국문 초록

대가야의 중심지인 대가야읍내에서 그 동안 실시된 표본조사부터 발굴조사 자료를 검토하여 대가야의 궁성과 주변취락의 분포양상에 대하여 살피고, 궁성을 중심으로 한 대가야 왕도의 범위를 설정해 보았다. 왕도 내에서 도시구획 양상은 확인되지 않았지만, 공간구획 양상-생활공간, 사후공간(고분군), 통치공간(궁성과 대피성), 특수공간(종교 등)-은유추할 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 고령지역 일대에 분포해 있는 성곽과 고분군의 관계를 통해 왕도를 보호하기 위한 성곽의 배치양상을 검토하여 변경을 방어한 성곽과 왕도와 그 배후지를 방어한 성곽으로 용도를 구분해 보았다. 협의의 개념에서 대가야 왕도는 현재의 대가야읍내, 즉 주산과 대가천 사이의 지산리·연조리·쾌빈리·고아리 일대가 되겠지만, 고령 쾌빈리 433-11번지에서 확인된 남-북 방향의 인공수로가 왕도를 궁극적으로 보호하는 시설로 추정된다. 광의의 개념으로서 왕도는 안림천 수계의 쌍림면과 합천군 묘산·가야·야로면 일대의 토기 및 철 생산유적과 관련된 배후지 그리고 북편으로는 성주 성산가야와의 경계지역, 동편으로는 낙동강을 잇는 국경 방어지역이 직할지로서 그범주에 포함할 수 있다. 대가야 왕도의 범위와 취락 형태는 향후 지속적인 조사자료 확보 및 검토가 필요하고, 대가야 고지 내 산성과 고분군에 대한 세부적인 시기 구분, 산성과 주변 분포 고분군의 실질적인 관련성 등에 대해서도 학술조사와 같은 보다 세밀한검토가 필요하다. 아울러 문헌 및 고대사 연구 자료에 대한 검토도 충분히 반영할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

From the sample survey conducted in Daegaya-eup, the center of Daegaya, the excavation survey data were reviewed to examine the distribution patterns of Daegaya s palaces and surrounding settlements, and the scope of the capital of Daegaya s kingdom was established around the fortress. Although the pattern of urban compartmentalization was not confirmed within the capital of the kingdom, it was possible to infer the aspect of spatial compartmentalization-living space, post-mortem space (ancient tombs), ruling space (a royal palace and refuge palace), and special space (religious areas, etc.)- from the capital of the kingdom. Based on this, we examined the layout of the fortress to protect the capital of the kingdom through the relationship between the fortresses and the ancient tombs distributed around the Goryeong area, and divided the use into the fortress walls that defended the change and the fortresses behind it. As the narrow concept, the capital of a Daegaya kingdom assumed that the current Daegaya town, namely Jisan-ri, Yeonjori, Hyebin-ri, and Goari area between Jusan-ri and Daegacheon, was a facility that ultimately protects the capital of the kingdom, an artificial waterway in the direction of the south and north, which was identified at 433-11 Sinbin-ri, Goryeong. As a broad concept, it is believed that the capital of the kingdom could be included in the category of Yangrim-myeon in Anrimcheon Stream, behind the earthenware and iron production sites in Myosan, Gaya, and Yaro-myeon areas in Hapcheon-gun, and on the north, the border area connecting Seongsan Gaya in Seongju, and the border defense area connecting the Nakdonggang River. The scope and settlement of the capital of Daegaya kingdom need to be secured and reviewed continuously in the future, and the detailed timing classification of the fortress and ancient tombs in Daegaya Highlands, and the practical relevance of the ancient tombs aroundthe fortress and surrounding areas need to be reviewed through academic surveys. In addition, it is necessary to conduct a thorough review of the literature and ancient history research materials to reflect them more comprehensively.
