수원화성박물관 운영 성과와 향후 활성화 방안

국문 초록

수원화성박물관은 2009년 4월 27일에 개관한 수원화성을 테마로 건립된 성곽테마박물관이다. 박물관은 수원의 역사적 정체성을 바탕으로 시민에게 다가가는 역사와 문화가 열린 공간을 조성하는 것을 목표로 삼고 있다. 이러한 목표를 달성하기 위해 특성화를 살린 특별전시, 지역의 정체성을 찾는 연구 및 유물수집, 시민과 함께하는 문화교육프로그램 운영, 스마트한 온라인 서비스 제공에 힘쓰고 있다. 올해로 개관한지 11년을 맞이하였고 그동안 유물수집, 기획전시 운영, 학술연구, 국내외 교류 분야에서 우수한 성과를 냈다. 이 글은 수원화성박물관의 그동안의 성과들을 정리해보고 운영 활성화를 위한 향후 과제에 대해 제안하는 글이다. 박물관 운영 성과에 대해서는 유물수집, 기획전시, 학술연구, 국제교류분야를 중심으로 검토하였다. 수원화성박물관은 우수한 기증유물 확보, 정조대왕과 수원화성 관련 특성화된 기획전시 개최, 새로운 연구성과를 발표하는 학술대회 개최와 국제교류 분야에서 꾸준한 성과를 거두었다. 향후 박물관 운영 활성화를 위한 과제로 코로나19 상황에서 주목받고 있는 온라인박물관 구축과 차별화된 SNS 홍보 강화를 제시하였다. 또한 전시분야에서는 개관 후 10년이 지나 노후화된 상설전시 개편, 기획전시 주제의 다양화 방안 등이 필요하다. 이외에도 국내외 업무교류와 지역사회간 네트워크강화를 통해 운영 활성화를 모색할 필요가 있으며 수원화성 주변 문화시설과 연계한 프로그램 개발을 통해 관광 활성화와 박물관의 영역 확장을 도모할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Suwon Hwaseong Museum is a Castle Theme Museum established setting Suwon Hwaseong Fortress a s a theme in 2 7th April 2009. T he a im o f the museum is to build a place filled with history and culture which approach to citizens based on the historical identity of Suwon. In order to achieve that aim, special exhibition featuring characterisation, research and relic collection for finding the local identity, culture education program operation with citizens, and smart online service are provided with effort.It has been 11 years since the museum was open, and the museum produced excellent achievements in the fields of relic collection, special exhibition operation, academic research, and domestic and international exchange during that period. This article tries to rearrange the achievements of Suwon Hwaseong Museum so far, and suggests the henceforth activation task for operation activation.On the achievements of museum operation, the fields of relic collection, special exhibition, academic research, international exchange are centrally reviewed. Suwon Hwaseong Museum has produced steady achievements in the fields of securing excellent donated relics, hosting special exhibition characterising the relation between King Jeongjo the Great and Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, hosting academic research where new research results are presented, and international exchange. As a task for henceforth museum operation activation plan, online museum building ,which is now paid attention to due to COVID-19 situation, and distinctive SNS advertisement reinforcement are suggested. Also, in the field of exhibition, the reform of superannuated permanent exhibition since it has been 11 years since the opening of the museum, plan for the diversification of the special exhibition topics, etc are needed. Besides what mentioned above, there is a need to search operation activation through domestic and international work exchange and network reinforcement between local societies, and tourism activation and the enlargement of the area of the museum through the development of the program relating with culture facilities around Suwon Hwaseong Fortress can be planned.
