국문 초록

본 연구는 초등 미술 교과에서 미술문화이해능력 신장을 위한 프로젝트 수업을 개발하고, 이를 초등 교육 현장에 적용하여 그 효과를 살펴봄으로써 교육적 실천을 개선하기 위한 실행 연구이다. 이를 위하여 먼저 이론적 탐색을 통해 미술문화이해능력의 개념을 살펴보았다. 미술문화이해능력은 2015 개정 교육과정 총론에서 제시된 심미적 감성 역량과 공동체 역량에 연계된 미술 교과 특유의 교과역량이다. 이는 다양한 미술문화를 이해할 수 있는 심미적 감성역량을 바탕으로 공동체 발전에 공헌할 수 있는 역량이 동시에 함양되어야 한다는 것으로 이해할 수 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 개념 이해에 의해 ‘사회 문제들에 대해 SNS 미술 활동을 통해 알리기’라는 주제의 프로젝트 수업을 계획하고 실행하였다. 프로젝트 수업의 실행 결과 학생들로 하여금 미술 문화의 가치와 역할에 대한 이해의 확장, 미술 문화 속에서 다양한 매체와 방법을 활용하여 표현하고 소통하는 기능 신장, 그리고 미술 문화의 가치를 내면화 및 미술에 대한 긍정적인 태도의 형성 등 미술문화이해능력의 지식, 기능, 가치태도적인 요소들이 함양되는 시사점을 도출할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the concept of art-cultural competencies, develop an art project and run it in real classroom, and examine the implications in art education. For this purpose, this study chose the method of action research to improve educational practice in real classroom. As a kind of competencies, art-cultural competency has knowledge, skills, values and attitudes as components. In connection with this, the components of art-cultural competency are as follows: ‘practical knowledge gained by participating in art cultural activities’, ‘communication skills using appropriate media and technology in art culture’, ‘values and attitudes enjoying and participating in ar and cultural activities’. This competency should be raised with practical experiences and integrated curriculum reflecting aspects of contemporary art. Based on the concept and educational strategies of art-cultural competency explored from the theoretical background, and art project class with the theme of “Telling Social Issues in SNS Art Activities” was planned and applied to real classroom. As a result of the implementation of project classes, improvement of components of art-cultural competency was observed. The observed changes are as follows: 1) expanded understanding of the values and roles of art culture, 2) developed skills to express and communicate using various media and methods in art culture, 3) internalized the values of art and positive attitudes formed toward art.
