국문 초록

본 연구는 1960년대-1970년대 중반에 걸쳐 『창작과비평』(이하 본문 내 『창비』로 지칭)에서 태동, 전개되고 발전한 한국 문학의 농촌, 농민소설 논의를 『창작과비평』 속 김정한의 작품을 통해 연구하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 1966년 1월 󰡔창작과비평󰡕의 창간과 그해 10월 김정한의 문학장 복귀 『모래톱 이야기』 (『문학』 6호, 1966.10)는 각각 독립적으로 발생한 일이었지만, 전후 한국문학 내 리얼리즘 문학의 흥기와 부흥을 의미하는 신호탄 같은 것이었기에 일련의 ‘사건’이라 부를 만한 것이었다. 『창작과비평』 편집인들의 회고에서 확인할 수 있듯 『창작과비평』의 편집인들에게 김정한은 잡지와 뜻을 함께해주는 든든한 문학 동료이자 일제강점기 리얼리즘의 명맥이 해방 후에도 지속되고 있음을 일깨워주는 살아있는 문단 원로라는 점에서 큰 의미를 지니는 것이었다. 특히 농촌, 농민 소설- 민중문학-민족문학으로 이어지는 『창작과비평』의 주요 이론적 담론에 자양분이 되는 작품을 창작했음이 확인된다. 구체적으로 낙동강 인근에 삶의 근거지를 둔 농민들의 신산한 삶에 초점을 맞추어 그들 삶의 비극성을 구현해냈다는 점에서 로컬문학과 농촌문학의 유의미한 존재태를 보여주었다. 나아가 『창작과비평』의 새로운 농촌, 농민 소설 기획에도 주요한 참조점을 제공하고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to study the discussion of rural and peasant novels of Korean literature, which were born, developed, and developed in 『Changbi』 through Kim Jeong-han s works in 『Changbi』. The creation of 『Changbi』 in January 1966 and Kim Jeong-han (김정한)s return to the literary arena in October of that year were both independent events, but it was a sign of the rise and revival of realism literature in post-war Korean literature, so it was a series of “events.” As can be seen in the memoirs of the editors of 『Changbi』, Kim Jeong-han meant a lot to the editors of 『Changbi』 in that he was a reliable literary colleague who shared the will with the magazine and a living literary elder who kept Japanese colonial era realism alive. It is also confirmed that Kim Jeong-han was deeply resonated with his work and active social activities in line with the editorial ideology of 『Changbi』 In particular, it is confirmed that he created a work that nourishes the main theoretical discourse of 『Changbi』, which leads to rural, peasant novels, folk literature, and national literature. Specifically, it showed the significant presence of local literature and rural literature in that it embodied the tragedy of their lives by focusing on the sour lives of farmers who had their base of life near the Nakdong River(낙동강). Furthermore, it provides a major reference point for the planning of new rural and peasant novels in 『Changbi』.
