국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 중소 제조기업의 품질경영관련 제활동과 경영혁신 및 경영성과간의 구조적 관계를 분석하는데 있다. 구체적으로 ISO 9001：2008 품질경영시스템 요구사항 실행, TQM 활동과 경영혁신, 재무 및 비재무적 경영성과와의 관계를 분석하고 있다. 수집된 자료는 LISREL 8.8과 SAS 9.3을 사용하여 분석하였으며, 구조방정식 모형을 이용한 가설검증 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, ISO 9001：2008 품질경영시스템 요구사항의 실행은 TQM 활동 수준에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었으나 경영혁신과 재무 및 비재무적 경영성과에는 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, TQM 활동은 경영혁신과 경영성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 결국 기업은 TQM 활동 시 품질경영기법이 지향하는 바에 대한 긍정적인 수용태도와 전사적인 참여를 통해 TQM이 추구하는 경영프로세스의 지속적 개선활동을 체계적으로 실행한다면 경영혁신에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것이다. 또한 TQM 등을 도입하여 전사적 차원에서 업무프로세스의 최적화를 위한 체계적인 노력이 수반될 때 경영성과의 개선으로 연결될 수 있을 것이다. 셋째, 경영혁신은 재무 및 비재무적 경영성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과는 경쟁기업과 차별화된 수준의 제품 및 서비스의 개선과 품질향상, 프로세스 혁신을 통한 생산효율성 제고 등을 통하여 경쟁우위를 확보한 높은 수준의 경영혁신 성과는 경영성과 향상에도 기여한다는 것을 알 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explores the linkage between QMS and TQM activities and their effects on financial and nonfinancial corporate performance with the innovation as an intermediary variable. Data collected were processed and analyzed by computer software such as LISREL 8.8 and SAS 9.3. Analysis of data and test of research hypotheses based on the structural equation reveal that, first, the conformity to ISO 9001：2008 standard requirements has positive effects on the level of TQM activities. However, conformity to ISO 9001：2008 standard requirements does not have significant effects on management innovation and financial/nonfinancial performances. Second, TQM activities have positive effects on the management innovation and financial/nonfinancial performances. It implies that companies with proactive attitude toward systematic implementation of QMS and TQM activities would generally follow the path of successful management innovation. It also implies that company-wide and systematic efforts to optimize business processes by making use of TQM activities would result in better business performance. Third, management innovation has positive effects on the financial and nonfinancial performance. It implies that competitive advantages gained from management innovation such as differentiated products, innovative service, quality improvement, and improved efficiency with process innovation would contribute to the better business performance.
