창녕 교동·송현동고분군의 묘제와 축조집단의 성격

국문 초록

최근 조사 내용이 증가한 교동·송현동고분군의 묘제를 중심으로 그 특징을 명확히 하고, 고총 축조기 창녕지역 지배세력의 성격에 대해 검토해 보았다. 그 결과, 5세기 중후반부터 6세기 전반까지 집중적으로 축조된 고총들은 묘제의 형식에서 다양한 양상을 보여주었으며, 이러한 다양성 속에서도 공통된 장묘문화를 공유하고 있는 특수성을 확인하였다. 이는 묘형과 비율, 매장공간의활용, 석곽의 구조와 축조방식 등을 통해 설명할 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 기존의 인식과는 달리 교동·송현동고분군의 묘제를 횡구식으로 분류할 수 없음을 지적하였다. 한편, 교동·송현동고분군에서 확인된 묘제의 다양성은 이 지역지배세력의 구성이 간단치 않고 출자를 달리하는 몇 개의 세력이 존재했을 가능성을 제기하였다. 다만 현재로선 구체적인 계보관계 등은 정확히 알 수 없었다. 교동·송현동고분군 축조세력의 동향은 기존의 연구와 함께 Ⅰ군 12호분(적석목곽묘)의 존재를 통해보더라도 적어도 6세기 1/4분기까지는 독자성을 유지하며, 지역문화를 발달시켜왔고 이 이후부터는 물질문화와 함께 정신문화 등 지역문화 전반에 걸쳐 독자성이 소멸되어 점차 신라문화로 대체되어가는 것으로 이해하였다. Ⅲ군(송현동고분군)에서의봉분 연접축조도 이러한 신라문화의 영향으로 이해할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The characteristics of the tombs in Gyo-dong and Songhyeon-dong Ancient Tombs, which have recently been increased, have been clarified, and the characteristics of the dominant forces in the Changnyeong area during the construction period of the Gochong Tomb have been reviewed. As a result, the ancient tombs, which were built intensively from the mid-5th to the early 6th century, showed various aspects in the form of the burial ceremony and confirmed the specificity of sharing a common burial culture despite their diversity. This was explained through the tomb type and ratio, the utilization of the burial space, and the structure and construction method of the stone wall. Based on this, it was pointed out that the tombs of Gyodong and Songhyeon-dong Ancient Tombs could not be classified as transverse. Meanwhile, the diversity of the mausoleum identified in Gyodong and Songhyeon-dong Ancient Tombs has linked the formation of the region s ruling forces to the possibility that there might have been several forces with different investments. However, the specific genealogy relationship was not known at the moment. Along with the existing research, the trends of the construction forces of Gyodong and Songhyeon-dong Ancient Tombs have maintained their independence and developed local culture until at least the first quarter of the 6th century through the existence of No. 12 (Jeokseokmokgungmyo) of Group I, and since then, their independence has been extinguished and gradually replaced by Silla culture. The joint construction of the mound in the III (Songhyeon-dong Ancient Tombs) is also understood as part of this Silla painting process.
