국문 초록

본 연구는 적극적 시민성과 하이브리드 조직화의 관점에서 서울시 자원봉사센터 「지역 소모임 활성화 사업」의 의의를 분석하고, 이 사업의 시민교육적 효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 최근의 자원봉사 변화는 개인화라는 사회학적 거시변동과 연관할 때 잘 이해될 수 있다. 개인화에 대한 제도적 대응으로 등장한 “제도주의적으로 개인화된 자원봉사”로의 변화는 한국도 예외가 아니다. 이러한 변화는 적극적 시민성의 관점에서 보았을 때 양가적이다. 이런 배경에서, 취미와 관심 중심의 지역사회 소모임을 대상으로 자원봉사 프로그램을 운영한 「지역 소모임 활성화 사업」은 적극적 시민성과 하이브리드 관리를 결합한 대표적인 사례로 주목할 만하다. 이 사업에서 얻어진 자료 분석을 통해 참여자의 시민적 태도 향상을 검증한 결과, 사업을 통해 참여 자원봉사자들의 시민적 태도가 향상했으며, 이 과정에서 자원봉사 실무자의 사회정의 태도가 중요하다는 사실을 밝혔다.

영문 초록

This study aims at examining the volunteering program targeting mutual benefit and like-minded clubs managed by Seoul Volunteer Center from the active citizenship and the institutionally individualized volunteering. And the effects of the program on the civic attitude of participants are also investigated. The decline of volunteerism can be understood in the sociological transformation of individualization. In the western societies, the paradigm shift toward the institutionally individualized volunteering has been reported. Such a transformation occurs in Korea, too. Volunteering program targeting on mutual benefit and like-minded clubs is noteworthy to discuss in context of active citizenship and hybrid organization for volunteering. And the statistical analysis of participants civic attitude indicates the positive effects of the program.
