국문 초록

내전은 이데올로기적 정체성을 본질로 하는 근대정치가 초래하는 가장 비극적인 상황이다. 내전을 겪은 근대의 정치공동체에게는 동족 갈등의 비극에 대한 진실을 찾고 희생된 사람들의 명예를 회복해야 하는 과제가 부여된다. 공동체의 진정한 통합을 이루기 위해 필요한 일이기 때문이다. 그러한 목적을 위해 제도권 정치는 내전의 희생자들을 국가적･국민적 신성화 프로세스를 실천한다. 그런데 거기서 문제는 내전의 희생자들이 특정한 이념을 체현하는 집합적 존재로 머문다는 사실이다. 그것은 개인의 개별적이고 사적인 삶을 박탈하는 폭력이라는 사실에 주목한다. 근대성의 원리로서 재현에는 그와 같은 상징폭력의 원리가 내재되어 있다. 이 연구가 다루고자 하는, 파리꼼뮌과 제주 4･3에 대한 위고와 현기영의 시와 소설은 그러한 비판적 문제의식에 연결되어 있다. 두 사람의 문학은 재현의 원리에 의해 소멸될 수밖에 없는 새로운 주체와 그러한 주체들이 만들어내는 새로운 정치적 세계를 우리에게 상상하게 한다. 이 주체는 재현의 원리가 담아내지 못하는 삶의 본질들을 체현하고 있는 존재다.

영문 초록

The civil war is the most tragic situation in the modern politics whose essence lies in the ideological identity. The modern political community having experienced it has the important task, to reveal its truth and to recover the victims’ honors. This task is necessary to achieve true integration of community. To do it, the institutional political act wants to realize the national consecration process for victims of civil war. But, we must cognize a problem that in this national process, they have to remain a collective being embodying the specific ideology. It means that this process is violent in view of concealing their individual and private lifes. The representation as constructing principle of the modernity, includes the possibility of this symbolic violence. Victor Hugo’s poets and Hyun Ki-young’s novels that our research is to interpret and analyze, is oriented to this critical problematic. These two literatures lead us to imagine the new subjects and the new political spheres constructed by them, that the modern presentative mechanism can make dissolved. The new subjects imagined in these literatures is the being embodying the essence of life, that the representation can not grasp.
