다문화가정 해체와 다문화 조손가정 조모의 양육 경험 : 근거이론을 중심으로

국문 초록

다문화가정의 증가는 동시에 이혼과 사별, 가출 등으로 인한 해체 다문화가정의 증가를 초래하였고 특히 농촌의 확대 다문화가정의 해체는 조모의 손자녀 전담 양육의 현상을 낳았다. 본 연구는 다문화 조손가정 조모의 양육 경험을 근거이론 방법을 사용하여 탐구한 것이다. ‘다문화 조손가정 조모의 손자녀 양육 경험의 의미는 무엇인가?’에 대한 핵심범주는 ‘양육부담감 끌어안고 노년기 양육 경험의 의미를 찾아가기’로 상정되었다. 개방코딩은 169개의 개념과 19개의 하위범주, 7개의 범주를 도출하였다. 축코딩에서 중심현상은 ‘쟁취한 양육부담감’으로, 인과적 조건은 ‘다문화가정의 해체’로 맥락적 조건은 ‘고착된 모성 본능’, 중재적 조건은 협력적 양육 체계’였으며 작용/상호작용은‘현실 양육의 희로애락’,‘할머니식 양육 방책’이 도출되었다. 결과는 ‘존재 가치가 된 양육의 삶’으로 구성하였다. 다문화 조손가정 조모의 생생한 목소리를 통하여 다문화가정의 해체에 따른 조모의 양육 경험에서 오는 양육부담감을 이해하기 위한 사회복지적 지원 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The increase in multicultural families has simultaneously led to an increase in the number of multicultural families broken up due to divorce, bereavement, runaway, etc. The expansion of multicultural families in rural areas has led to the phenomenon of grandmothers taking full responsibility for raising their grandchildren. This study explored the parenting experiences of grandmothers in multicultural families using grounded theory. The core category was ‘Embracing the burden of raising children and finding the meaning of the experience of raising children in old age.’In axial coding, the central phenomenon was 'acquired burden of parenting', the causal condition was 'dissolution of multicultural family', the contextual condition was ‘entrenched maternal instinct', the mediating condition was 'cooperative parenting system', and the action/interaction were ‘the joys and sorrows of parenting’ and ‘grandmother-style parenting strategies’. The result was ‘a life of nurturing that has become a value of existence.’ Upon the understanding the grandmothers’childcare experience through their vivid voices, social welfare support measures were presented.
