작업기억의 연령차와 상태불안 및 인지간섭의 조절효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 작업기억의 하위체계인 시각작업기억, 공간작업기억 그리고 중앙집행부의 용량을 측정하는 과제를 사용하여 작업기억에서의 연령차(11세, 15세)를 검증하고자 하였다. 또한 불안과 인지간섭이 작업기억에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 그 결과, 공간작업기억과 중앙집행부의 용량은 15세 집단에서 더 크게 나타났지만, 시각작업기억 용량에서의 연령차는 없었다. 인지간섭은 시각작업기억과 중앙집행부 과제의 수행을 감소시켰다. 이러한 결과는 시각작업기억이 공간작업기억과 중앙집행부보다 더 이른 시기에 발달하는 것임을 시사한다. 또한 인지간섭이 작업기억 과제의 수행을 감소시킨다는 선행 연구들을 지지하는 결과이다.

영문 초록

This study investigated age-related difference(11 and 15-year-old groups) of working memory using the tasks to measure the capacities of visual working memory, and spatial working memory and central executive as its subsystems. In addition, we investigated the effects of anxiety and cognitive interference on working memory. The results showed that the capacities of spatial working memory and central executive were higher in 15-year-old group than in 11-year-old group. However, there is no difference between two groups in visual working memory. These results indicated that visual working memory could develop earlier than spatial working memory and central executive. Cognitive interference decreased performances in visual working memory and central executive tasks. This result supported several prior studies, showing that cognitive interference impaired the capacity of working memory task.
