영문 초록

In this paper, we propose a generalized M/G/∞ input processes by associating Cox s M/G/∞ process with a two-state Markov modulated fluid flow (MMFF), and derive the properties of the proposed process. Our idea is as follows: The communication patterns of the Internet users are modeled by an M/G/∞ input process. On the other hand, in small time-scale, a two-state MMFF process models the traffic-transfer-rate to the server by an Internet user. Since the real traffic-transfer-rate of an Internet user are varying in time, the proposed can be expected to reflect more precisely the traffic pattern of the router in the Internet. Also, we derive the asymptotic decay rate of the queue length distribution.
