구성주의 박물관 교육 프로그램의동기 영역 평가지표 개발을 위한 토대 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 박물관의 교육 기능이 급격하게 성장하고 있는 시기에 기획-운영-평가의 선순환적인 모델을 정립하고자 구성주의 박물관 교육에서 강조되는 학습자의 동기 영역을 중심으로 새로운 평가 준거 및 지표 개발에 필요한 이론적 토대를 탐색하고자 함이 목적이다. 먼저 박물관 교육 프로그램의 근거가 되는 구성주의와 학습동기 및 연관성을 토대로 중요성을 강조하는 한편 구성주의 박물관 교육에서도 학습동기 관련 체계적인 접근이 필요함을 역설하였다. 이에 학습동기 관련 이론으로 Keller의 ARCS 동기이론을 도입하고자 외적 요소와 내적 요소로 구성주의 박물관 교육과의 연관성을 살펴보았다. 외적 요소로는 국내 박물관 교육의 현실을 반영하여 교육 주체 측면, 교육 공간 측면, 교육 유형 측면에서 적용 가능성을 타진하였으며 내적 요소로는 구성주의 박물관 교육의 6가지 특징과 ARCS 동기이론의 12가지 하위 요소 간 내용 상관성을 살펴보았다. 고찰 결과 구성주의 박물관 교육과 ARCS 동기이론은 내외적으로 상관성을 갖고 있음을 확인하였다. 이는 향후 구성주의 박물관 교육 프로그램의 동기 영역 평가지표 개발 과정에서 ARCS 동기이론의 적용함에 있어 이론적 근거 및 토대를 마련했다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다. 마지막으로 결론에서 연구 결과를 정리하고 이에 따라 구성주의 박물관 교육 프로그램의 동기 영역 평가지표 개발 과정에서 ARCS 동기이론을 적용하는 데 있어 고려사항을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the theoretical base needed to develop new evaluation criteria and indicators focusing on learner’s motivation, which is emphasized by museum education program based on constructivism. The study will help to create a virtuous circle of design - implementation - evaluation as museum education has taken on a very important role in recent years. First of all, this paper presents that a systematic and strategic approach needs to be taken to constructivist museum education based on the correlation of learning motivation with constructivism. Therefore, the application of Keller’s ARCS model as a motivation theory in learning is considered reasonable since there is its correlation with constructivist museum education in terms of the internal and external factors of the museum education. The former include the six features of the museum education program and the twelve sub-categories of the ARCS model of motivational design, and the latter the education subjects, the education spaces, and the education styles. The result shows it has a strong positive correlation internally and externally. Therefore it provides the theoretical base in applying ARCS model of motivational design to develop the evaluation indicators for learning motivation of museum education program based on constructivism. Lastly, the results of this study are summarized and recommendations are proposed to apply ARCS model of motivational design to develop the evaluation indicators for learning motivation of museum education program based on constructivism in the concluding section.
