국문 초록

본 연구에서는 사회경제적 특성이 중·노년층의 비만에 미치는 영향을 구조방정식 모형을 통해 분석하였다. 이를 위해 국민건강영양조사 제 6기(2015년) 자료 중 중·노년층에 해당하는 45세 이상 총 3,844명을 대상으로 SPSS 21.0과 AMOS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하였다. 연구대상자의 일반적인 특성을 확인하기 위해서는 빈도분석, 상관분석, 기초통계분석을 실시하였고, 구조방정식 모형에 대한 추정 전 모형 적합도 검정을 통해 모형에 대한 평가를 실시하였다. 모형적합도가 통계적으로 유의하였으며, 사회경제적 특성이 비만에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 모형에 대한 추정을 실시하였다. 이때 우울, 식습관, 신체능력을 매개변수로 고려해 사회경제적 특성이 비만에 미치는 영향을 보았다. 또한 연구대상인 중·노년층을 성별에 따라 나눈 후 2차 분석을 실시하여 성별에 따라 사회경제적 특성이 비만에 미치는 영향에 차이가 있는지 살펴보았다. 분석결과, 전체 연구대상자를 분석했을 때에는 성별, 직업유무, 월 가구 총소득이 우울을 매개하여 BMI(body mass index)에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 연령, 교육수준, 직업유무가 신체능력을 매개하여 BMI에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 성별을 기준으로 나누어 보았을 때 남성의 경우는 매개변수들이 BMI에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았지만 여성의 경우는 교육수준, 직업유무, 연령이 신체능력을 매개하여 BMI에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 성별에 따른 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

In this study, we examined the relationship between socio-economic status (SES) and obesity in the middle and old age through a structural equation model. We was used for the 6th Korea national health and nutrition examination survey (2015) to analyze. The data were over 45 years old people who were 3,844. The SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 18.0 programs were used for analysis. Frequency and correlation analysis were used to investigate the characteristics of the sample. Before the estimation of structural equation model, model evaluation was done by goodness of fit test. Structural equation models considered were statistically significant. For fitting the structural equation model, depression, eating habit and physical ability were considered as mediation variables. Also the sample was divided by gender to examine the gender differences in causal relationship between socio-economic status and obesity. As a results, BMI was affected by gender, employment status and total monthly income with mediation variable of depression. In male group, all mediation variables (depression, physical ability, eating habit) were not significant to BMI. However, with mediation variable of physical ability, education level, employment status and age influenced on BMI in females.
