국문 초록

본 연구는 과정중심 양육과 자아존중감 간의 관계에서 성장지향 마인드셋의 매개효과를 확인하고, 각 변인 간 구조적 관계를 확인하고자 하였다. 수도권에 위치한 A중학교 2학년에 재학 중인 학생 총 178명을 대상으로 학습 동기 유형 검사와 자아존중감을 측정하는 척도를 사용하여 설문을 실시하고, 자료를 바탕으로 각 측정 변인 간 상관분석을 실시하였다. 그리고 변인 간 경로관계 양상을 분석하기 위해 Hayes(2013)의 Process Macro를 이용하여 분석하였다. 이를 통한 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 과정중심 양육, 자아존중감, 성장지향 마인드셋 사이에는 유의미한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 성장지향 마인드셋이 과정중심 양육과 자아존중감 사이를 매개하는 것으로 나타났으며, 성장지향 마인드셋의 하위 요소 중 실패수용과 최적 목표가 과정중심 양육과 자아존중감 사이에서 유의한 매개효과를 지니는 것으로 나타났다. 이후 분석결과를 통해 매개모형 검증의 의미와 치료적 개입에 대해 논의하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구가 가지는 의의와 한계점에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating effects of the Growth mindset on the relationship between process-oriented parenting and self-esteem, and to identify structural relationships between the variables. A total of 178 students in the second grade of A middle school in the metropolitan area were surveyed using the Motivation Style Test and self-esteem scale. Based on the data, correlation analysis between each measurement variable was performed. In addition, the pattern of path relationship between the variables was analyzed using the Process Macro in Hayes(2013). The results of this study are as follows. First, there was a significant positive correlation between process-oriented parenting, self-esteem, and Growth mindset. Second, the Growth mindset mediates between process-centered parenting and self-esteem, and failure acceptance and optimal goal among the sub-factors Growth Mindset have indirect influence on process-centered parenting and self-esteem. The implications of mediating model validation and therapeutic intervention were discussed through the analysis results. Finally, the implications and limitations of this study are discussed.
