국문 초록

본 연구는 일반 초·중등 교육과정을 적용하기 어려운 장애학생을 위한 특수교육 기본교육과정의 교육목표와 구성체계가 어떻게 변천 되어 왔는지 고찰하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 1974년 처음으로 제정·고시된 특수학교 교육과정부터 2015 특수교육 기본교육과정까지 총 아홉 차례 개정·고시된 특수교육 기본교육과정을 분석하였다. 연구 결과 특수교육 기본교육과정은 실제 생활에 요구되는 내용의 생활 및 교과 영역 체계에서 2008 특수교육 기본교육과정을 분기점으로 일반 초·중등 교육과정의 교육목표와 교과 체계를 동일하게 적용하고 있었다. 특수교육의 궁극적인 목적이 장애학생의 독립생활 역량 강화에 있다면, 이들을 위한 교육과정의 교육목표와 구성체계는 장애학생이 현재와 미래의 다양한 생태학적 생활환경에서 스스로 살아가는 데 필요한 지식과 기능을 체계적으로 가르칠 수 있어야 한다. 이에 본 연구는 향후 특수교육 기본교육과정은 장애학생의 자립생활 역량을 높이기 위한 교육목표와 내용을 구체화하고, 이를 체계적으로 가르칠 수 있는 관련 내용 영역을 구성체계에 포함할 것을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine how the educational goals and organizational systems of the special education basic curriculum for disabled students who are unable to apply general primary and secondary education courses have been changed. For this purpose, this study analyzed the special education basic curriculum revised and announced nine times from the first special school curriculum established and announced in 1974 to the present special education basic curriculum in 2015. The study found that the basic education curriculum for special education was applied equally with the educational goals of general elementary and secondary education courses as a watershed for the basic education courses of 2008 in the life and curriculum system of the contents required for real life. If the real purpose of special education is to enhance the ability of disabled students to live independently, the educational goals and organization system for them should be able to systematically teach the knowledge and functions necessary for disabled students to live on their own in various ecological life environments now and in the future. Therefore, it was proposed that the special education basic curriculum in the future should embody the educational goals for the independent lives of students with disabilities and include the relevant areas in the composition system that can teach them systematically.
