교사 및 자기 평가에 의한 학령기 말더듬 아동의 의사소통 태도 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 학령기 말더듬 아동과 일반 아동을 대상으로 자기 평가에 대한 의사소통 태도와 교사 평가에 의한 의사소통 태도에 차이가 있는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이러한 목적으로 말더듬 아동 10명과 일반 아동 10명을 대상으로 S-24 검사를 실시하고, 대상 아동들의 교사에게 TASCC 검사를 실시하여 집단 간 두 검사 결과와 상관을 분석하였다. 첫째, 자기 평가에 대한 의사소통 태도에서 말더듬 아동집단이 일반 아동집단보다 S-24 검사 결과 유의하게 높은 점수를 보였다. 말더듬 아동들이 의사소통 태도에 대해 부정적인 성향을 지닌 것으로 평가할 수 있다. 둘째, 교사 평가에 의한 의사소통 태도에서 말더듬 아동집단이 일반아동집단보다 TASCC 검사 결과 유의하게 낮은 점수를 보였다. 셋째, 집단 간 S-24와 TASCC의 하위 척도와의 상관을 분석한 결과 말더듬 아동집단은 S-24 점수와 유의한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과 학령기 말더듬 아동들은 자기 평가와 타인 평가에서 부정적인 성향을 보였으므로 언어치료적 관점에서 행동과 심리적인 면을 함께 평가하여 학교 환경에서 원활한 의사소통이 이루어질 수 있도록 도와야 할 것이다. 향후 일반 아동뿐만 아니라 말더듬 아동들이 학교생활에 보다 잘 적응할 수 있도록 돕는 효과적인 의사소통 교육프로그램들이 고안되기를 바란다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the difference of communication attitude by self-evaluation and teacher evaluation for school-age children who stutter(CWS) and normal children. For this purpose, S-24 test was performed to 10 stuttering children and 10 normal children and TASCC test was performed to the teachers of the children, and both test result & correlation was analyzed. First, the S-24 test scores of the stuttering children group were significantly higher than the general children group in the communication attitude by self-evaluation. The stuttering children can be evaluated as having a negative tendency about communication attitude. Second, TASCC test score of stuttering children group were significantly lower than the general children group in the communication attitude by teacher evaluation. Third, the stuttering children group had a significant correlation with S-24 score as a result of analyzing group correlation between S-24 and TASCC sub-barometer. As a result of this study, the stuttering children of school age showed the negative tendency in self assessment and others evaluation. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate both of behavioral and psychological aspects from the viewpoint of the speech therapy to help smooth communication in school environment. It is hoped that in the future, the effective communication education programs can be devised to help the stuttering children better adjust to school life as well as the normal children.
