국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학생들이 자기 성찰적 기회를 제공하는 장소성 기반 글쓰기 수업 모형을 개발하여 소개하는 것이다. 한 학기 동안 지속되는 글쓰기 교과 수업을 활용하여 대학 신입생에게 자신을 성찰할 기회를 제공하고, 나아가 ‘대학’이라는 변화된 환경에 잘 적응할 수 있는 토대를 마련하고자 수업 모형을 개발하였다. 이 수업 모형은 2016년도 1학기에 지방 소재 국립대의 교양필수과목인 “창의적글쓰기와말하기”에 적용하였다. 학생들로 하여금 1학기 동안 ‘나’라는 일관된 주제에 집중하도록 유도하고 ‘과거-현재-미래’를 관통한 자아에 대한 성찰적 기회를 제공하기 위하여 ‘장소성’ 개념을 도입하여 글쓰기에 적용하였다. 그 결과 학생들은 변화된 환경에 적응하기 위하여 과거로부터 이어온 자신의 뿌리와 정체성을 확인하고, 현재의 자신이 있는 위치(지위)에 애착을 느끼는 동시에 불안과 어려움을 토로하기도 하였다. 그러면서도 미래를 상상하는 글쓰기를 통해 불안정한 현재의 ‘나’에게 따뜻한 조언과 격려를 아끼지 않았다. 본 수업의 성과는 단편적이고 일회성의 글쓰기 실습들을 일관된 주제로 연속성 있게 끌고 갈 수 있었다는 점, 장소성 글쓰기를 통해 학생들이 자신의 학교에 장소애를 갖고 적응할 수 있었다는 점으로 요약될 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to develop and introduce a spatiality writing lecture model that provides the university students with self - reflection opportunities. The lecture model is developed to provide college freshmen to reflect on themselves utilizing writing class which lasts for one semester and to further lay the foundations for adapting well to the changed environment as “university”. This lecture model was applied to “Writing and Speaking”which is a required course of liberal arts at local national universities in the first semester of 2016. The students were introduced to the writing by introducing the concept of‘spatiality’in order to concentrate on the consistent theme ‘I’ during the first semester and to provide a reflection opportunity for the self through ‘Past-Present-Future’. As a consequence, students have identified their roots and identities from the past in order to adapt to the changed environment, and have felt anxiety and difficulty while feeling attached to themselves at the present position. Nonetheless they did not hesitate to give warm advice and encouragement to the unstable current‘I’through writing to imagine the future. The achievements of this lecture can be summarized as: 1) the ability to lead a series of fragmentary and one time writing practices on a consistent subject, and 2) that the students were able to adapt to their school with affection on space through spatiality writing.
